B) hello! need your expert advices...I just had a water change about 50% and still the water is cloudy.....what do you think is wrong?
Is it because of the food? I feed my FH's XO everred/starry...is this brand good or does it make the water cloudy??
LAstly, can I feed brine Shrimp/little shrimp those sold in the market to my flowerhorn??
:P
last question...I observed some tiny wormlike creatures at the bottom of the tank...are they harmful...or just ordinary water-borne parasites?
:D Thanks guys......

My advice for you is to use some activated carbon to remove the cloudiness.
meanwhile, change 20% of water everyday.
Is your tank cycled? if not, feed less to allow the bacteria to slowly build up. cloudiness is common for a 'cycling' tank.
Brine shrimps are too small for flowerhorns to eat, you can try to feed them ghost shrimps if you want to introduce live feed for your FH.
as for the worms, please try to remove them. they won't do any gd for your fish. you can try to siphon them off. also, remove all gravels/substrates from your tank. FH tanks do not need substrate as they are messy eaters, food will get stuck in your gravels.
cheers!

Thanks a lot for the advice...
yes, my tank is cycled , I use a double overhead filter.....change water everyday? Isn't that dangerous?? :(
My fishes are messy eaters especially when I feed them pellets.....there are always uneaten pellet remnants at the bottom of the tank and I always remove them as soon as I can.Should I change the filter??
I feed live worms to my FH, sometimes feeders(guppies)...Is that okey?

i don encourage ppl to feed live..
as they may contain parasite or disease.
few types of pellet and frozen bloodworm is enough

i would add that the cloudiness is a bacterial bloom, certainly not something i would expect to see in a tank that has regular water changes.. this leads me to guess that you are not treating your water before adding it to the tank. you need to add a few drops of dechlorinator to any water you add to the tank as your water may contain chlorine which will kill all the useful bacteria in your filter.. hope this helps
as for the brine shrimp you CAN feed them to your flowerhorn but you will need to freeze them in to small icecubes that your fish can feed from. i ad a cube and they will eat the whole thing at once. as for having gravel in your tank i find mine enjoy moving it around sometimes up the glass at the front of the tank to give a secure feeling to the fish. personally as long as you syphon the gravel you shouldnt have to worry about food in the gravel.
