Title: Never use salt!!
Description: Beginners read this!

Some people have asked about slat with cory's, they are fresh water tropical fish, they do not have slat in thier natural habitat, so therefore do not add salt to the tank. If you have a problem with the fish in the tank and wish to use salt then please put hte infected fish in a new tank and use salt! Do not use salt in tanks with fish, plecs, cory's and other catfish that never have the need for salt.

This may seema little harsh to read but it seems more people are adding salt and then asking, always ask someone or look for help before dosing a tank with meds or salt because the fish you got are brackish or salt water types.

Saves a lot stress froms mods and other members who agree that slat is bad for them, and therefore will not explode the topic!

Many thanxs for reading, and thanxs for taking note.

Please note !
We never intenionaly mean to hurt or offend anyone with this info, it is meant only as a guide form those who have kept those fish for many years.

Actually They can torelate salt.
Just that u cannot DIRECTLY add to the tank.

Ways to add salt to cory tank
Desolve the salt before water change to the new pail of water.
Intro the new water slowly to the tank.
Always make sure that the tank is slowly mix.

Add the salt to the sump area or fuilter.
Let it slowly desolve there.

Doing all this is to make sure cory do not have salt burns.
They dun torrate HIGH salt contains but some of them is quite benifitia for them as well.

It's like when u eating things suddenly u bite alot of salt which is not desolve?
We dun like it. Yur fish dun too =P
