hihi.. welcome to this forum.. hope you enjoy your stay..
1st.. know which are the pair you are going to breed..
2nd.. mostly people will introduce them in the same tank with divider.. after a period of time , take out the divider..
3rd. see if there are fighting.. after 15mins or so. if they are not fighting.. good luck.. if they are still fighting .. they are not suitable..
4th.. make sure you don disturb them.. is better to cover up the tank with newspaper. optional..
5th.. after the eggs have been lay, you can add some anti-fungus medicine..after 2 days .. see if the eggs have a black dot on the egg, it is fertilize... if it turns out in white colour , meaning the eggs is spoil , unfertilize.
6th remove the male or female<-- expert pls help.. leaving 1 parent inside would be good enough... beware of the female or male , they are very aggressive when u are trying to put yr hands in.. sometime they do not eat also..
7th after the fries are born out, there's no nid to feed them.. for the first few days they will eat on the eggs around them... cover yr filter inlet with a piece of cloth or something that is soft.. to prevent the babies frm getting suck into the filter.. don mind . just now the air pump and change water everyday.. 30% around there.. remove parent if u on air pump. coz adult produce a lot of waste..
8th. if u do not remove parent, when the fries began swimming , you must remove ..
9th.. get some powder food for your flowerhorn fries..
when they started fighting , time to seprate them.
