Title: Chaos Sniper
Description: Inspired by Khargoth's story

Some of you may remember Khargoth's "Shadow of Medusa" story, where an Iron Warrior named Mendrel wielded a heavily-modified Autocannon which resembled a 40K version of the M107 .50 Caliber Long Range Sniper Rifle. This inspired me to convert a usual autocannon-wielding havoc to a Chaos Sniper hard-wired to his autocannon.
I used a spare heavy stubber -which originally would become a Kai Gun- to represent the heavily modified autocannon, along with a Storm Bolter ammo drum and a Bolter M.40 Targeter (the scope-thingy) to act as... well, a scope. Though the model is still very WIP, I'll update the post as soon as I find some spare time.

And for those who wonder what part I used for that gun nozzle, it's infact a barrel from a smoke launcher.
Comments and criticisms welcome

Hmmm. At the moment, it still looks a lot like he's wielding a Heavy Stubber. I'd mount a large scope on the weapon, with wiring to his helmet. Another idea is to either add a stock or a small servo-arm that helps hold the rear of the weapon, as the recoil would dislocate even a Space Marine's arm. A kneeling pose with the weapon at aim would reinforce the sniper theme; at the moment the posing suggests an automatic weapon being fired from the hip while on the move.
I think I'll eventually get around to doing the 'sniper' Havocs I planned, which actually inspired Mendrel's role in that story, currently the idea's been shelved in favor of PaK-40 Havocs.

Well, haven't had time to work on my sniper as I am currently working on a "upgraded" version of my warsmith. This version was merely a test, so expect a better pose shortly.

I'm not so much a fan of the hand connected directly to the gun. For a super powered sniper rifle I'd grad a 40-60MM base and have him in a prone or close to prone postion with the rifle braced against some terrain.

Im doing some auto cannon havocs which i could do to be like snipers, was planning on cutting the back handle of the standard plastic heavy bolter arm and adding it to the ig auto cannon from the heavy weapon crew's, just need to add a rectangular part on the end and the bottom of the mortor stand as a bipod.

Well, here's my second run on my IW Sniper. Don't mind the 4th Company Ultramarine leg. (ran out of Black Templars bits)

as always, C&C welcome

Aye, he's the first one out of my anti-infantry havoc team. I like it much better then the first version, who'll recieve a plasma gun he can get hard-wired to and join ranks with my IW close combat squad.

The rifle needs a stock, if you can pilfer one from an IG lasgun and somehow fit it under his arm, this will look the buisness. Great work so far!

For the version I'm making (which is a B.A.R. style) I used the stock from a SM plasma gun.
