Title: Eternal Paladin of Iron (PICS)
Description: Daemon prince conversion/start again

Hi, I was sick and tierd of looking at that old daemon prince model and thought, 'it would look much better if it wasnt posed like an old man, bent over squinting for his glasses.' So I took the hack saw too it and had a look to see what i could do.

Excellent conversion, what do you plan on arming him with, rules-wise?

Well painting began on monday morning with a bright an early pre work spray paint session. Since then ive been rapidly completing the metal areas (its just a more advanced techqnique of the normal iron warriors) and painting the base.
I slipped in a few chevrons at the early stage as i was craving some free hand (I may be addicted).
Today I got the flesh done, it was done by mixing the foundation paint 'tallarn flesh' with decreasing amounts 'ultramarines blue' and adding bleached bone to the final higlight colour. Im well chuffed.

Kneel before the Paladin of Iron, he has come for your souls.

Also, would you mind giving us a quickie recipe on the fleshtone? I really like the way that turned out.

Ive spent some time painting recently, Ive repainted some areas and finished some others. I wasnt too happy with certain pieces (horns) so i just started them again.

Im quiet pleased with the blood effects, i mixed all my reds with red ink instead of water to get the effect. A couple of gloss varnishes helpped too.I wish i had some super fine sand, that usually looks great as gore.

Im pleased with the redone horns, I started at calthan brown and worked up to a 50:50 of bleached bone and skull white.

The new horns look really good, and you did a nice job on the blood. However, I don't like the way the little buttons/lights look on the chainsaw itself. To bright, and they draw attention away from his face and the rest of the weapon because they are so bright in contrast to the monochromatic paint scheme.

Note taken, ive given them a dirty wash but they are still quiet brihgt. Ill use some dull foundation paints.
