Does anyone else's Skull White paint come out very patchy? I've been working on the Masque from my daemons box and when I paint the white on her skin it's very patchy with some of the black base coat still visible.
It also feels very thick for some reason, not quite like the other paints.
Does anyone have any tips for this or is my paint just old?
Well a few things
- How many coats did you put on
- How long have you had the paint for
If your putting one caot on it will get pattchy as you said, for me when I am doing Black Templars I tend to use two to three caot of Skull White.
Age, again this some time play a part in this. Only thing just to add a little clean water.
Any more problem might be best talking to your local GW or if none are close by Mail order.

It's a few years old and all the humidity around here doesn't help much either I'm sure. I'm gonna buy another batch of it and see if it turns out the same way.
The best thing to do is layer it up from black via codex grey, fortress grey, and then skull white. I have a skull white thats 6 years old and all I did was add a tid bit of water to it and it works fine.
A lighter Foundation paint (one of the near-white gray ones) first, then pure Skull White over that works well also.
