Title: Scheduled Maintenance (rs/is/as 200/300)
DataBitz - November 21, 2005 11:37 PM (GMT)
Does anyone have information about what servicing needs to be done at what intervals on the Altezza e.g RS200's 10,000km - 50,000km - 100,000km etc.
greeneyes - November 22, 2005 09:43 AM (GMT)
I've never seen a service manual for the 3SGE, but I assume it all the same as the IS200 Lexus.
Make sure you get the Celica oil filter for the 3SGE, same diameter but a bit longer.
DataBitz - November 24, 2005 07:10 AM (GMT)
Yeah I guess it should be pretty much the same, I will stop in at North Shore Toyota on the weekend and see if they will let me copy a couple of pages from the service manual.

Here is a photocopy of the service schedule for the IS200 & IS300 which they also use for the Altezza's.
Here is a
PDF version of it at full resolution it is 2.8MB

IS_SHIVY - April 3, 2006 03:07 AM (GMT)
i've got an 03 is200 and my service book shows the service intervals to be 10,000km apart
BuckoNZ - April 5, 2006 08:01 AM (GMT)
It shows in this schedule that the Cam/Timing belt is due at 150,000kms!!?? Is that right?

150,000km's or 10 years whichever comes first.
The Altezza's, Corolla's and other Toyota's are also 150,000km's, (in recent years). However the general rule of thumb from most mechanics seems to be 100,000km's or 5 years.

I am due for an 80K service soon and I was wondering what sort of costs would be involved and for what parts - if anyone has done so recently.
Cheers

I recently had an 80K service at IS Motor Racing. Very good service. All fluids replaced, oil and fuel filter changed...log book stamped. I requested genuine parts...all up about $560. Same service at Lexus $975.

Thanks Stephen - I'm definitely taking it up to ISMR just wanted to get an idea of what others got done and a rough $ value on.
Cheers

Someone mentioned the Celica oil filter for the Altezza motor. Is there a specific number/reference to ask for if one wanted to do the change at home?. Thanks
craigb - April 2, 2007 10:25 AM (GMT)
Celica oil filter part number. 90915-10004

Thanks for that craigb. Do I see you coming onto Halswell Road from the Hoon Hay direction ?? Often see a Yellow tezza at corner.
tezzablue - May 20, 2007 03:14 AM (GMT)
Green eyes, I am in Christchurch. Many thanks for the members pack. One plate frame was broken but I think some duct tape has held it together. Thanks. Tezzablue
alimac - May 20, 2007 07:17 AM (GMT)
Hey tezzablue. I've seen that yellow one going down Halswell Jcn Rd past work. And it's not mine either. You can see mine parked up at fonterra brands on HJR during the day. You joining us for a run Queens birthday weekend, probably Sunday. Check the Christchurch meet thread

So I had an 80k service done (should have been 75k but what the hey) at a cost of just under $600.
Looks like she's not had a service since the 50 or 60k, and had the wrong air filter in her as well. Most of the road crap went THRU the filter into the throttle body and intake system, guy said the sensors etc were coated in dust and muck but the filter was fairly clean, so he wonders if the filter was doing anything useful at all.
6 new plugs, and they have to take the manifold off to get the plugs out so that's partly why the service is rated for 3 hours. Cleared out the intake system and throttle etc, so I have reset the ECU and we'll see what happens to the fuel consumption.

Crikey, I just called to get a rough estimate on how much it's going to cost for my 60K/5year service tune-up (car just hit 60K mark, but is 5 years old).
Changing all the oil/fluids in the car and regular service = approximately $582 odd.
If I want to put in TRD parts instead of standard Toyota parts, cost goes up an extra few hundred $$
Putting it in to get serviced Thursday, before a roadtrip up to Auckland on the weekend :D
alimac - August 21, 2007 08:06 AM (GMT)
Sounds high to me. Mine was just on $200 at Ilam Toyota in Chch
