Title: Service Rates
Description: at your local dealer-

Mr K - February 20, 2006 01:21 AM (GMT)
I followed this on in another post but thought it might be a good one to separate out, and let others grow it as well.

What I did was ring up a few places to get some prices, so we can all see what is going on around the place, to get services, or work done on our cars.

Here is what I asked for:
Price on a standard 15 000k service (that is replace all fluids, and filters, check and tune the car).

CURRENT AS OF: 20 Feb 2006

Manukau City Toyota - NZ (they have 3 locations)
$240 inc GST for standard 15 000k service
Altezza Club Discount = 20% off labour and 15% off parts

North Shore Toyota - NZ
approx $220 inc GST for standard 15 000k service
Altezza Club Discount = 10% (updated: this should be 15% so make sure they give you the right rate)

Giltrap City Toyota - NZ
approx $210 inc GST for standard 15 000k service
Altezza Club Discount = 0% (but they are looking to change this)
(UPDATE: 21/02/06 they will do 10% on both parts & labour but NOT on TRD parts)

Parts Suppliers
Giltrap City Toyota = supposidly NZ's cheapest TRD supplier (prices coming soon)

Please feel free to add to this list everyone, what about rest of NZ, and Aus??
Admin...want to PIN this topic - it could be a useful one for everyone

Note that North Shore Toyota's Altezza Club discount is 15% on parts and labour ... We've got that in writing!!!
They put my last service invoice thru at 10% off but quickly corrected it when reminded

There is also info under the "paid-up Member chat" as all this refers to paid-up members.

You must be up for the 100,000km cam-belt service soon. Maybe it would pay to get it all done.

I put a price up from Manukau for that service in the chat forum.

TranceManNZ - February 20, 2006 08:19 AM (GMT)
I wish Waikato Toyota would do something for me, but i'm pretty sure they don't like me that much :P

though i did just have a standard service done last week and it was $197

I get mine done every 10k, not 15k . . . its a personal thing

Mr K - February 21, 2006 12:45 AM (GMT)
Okay so Giltrap just got back to me...yes 10% on parts and labour for Altezza club members.

Also club members can look at $500 to do a cambelt in a BEAMS engine from Giltrap's (that's including the discount)

They did price up front & rear TRD sway bars for me (from Japan) at $397 each

greeneyes - February 21, 2006 01:10 AM (GMT)

minicoops - March 17, 2006 09:10 AM (GMT)
any where can i get parts for tezza in aussie..good n cheap workshop or gagrage?

greeneyes - March 18, 2006 06:56 AM (GMT)
Cheap people don't own Lexii.

..and 'good' does not go with 'cheap'

If you've paid enough money to buy a really nice car like an Altezza, don't ruin it with crap mods and backyard mechanics.

Either see a Toyota agent, a garage that works on Toyotas a lot, or PM yangfang, as he imports and works on JDM cars.

Personally, I'd like to crush each Altezza when their price hits $30,000. It would stop them getting so cheap that in a few years that they will be on blocks with grass growing through them in the slums! :P
