Title: Race Related Forum?
Brian_J - April 20, 2006 08:06 AM (GMT)
Hey guys
what do you think of a forum dedicated to race related things
examples of threads off the top of my head would include:
- heel/toe. how to do it and why
- improving your best time on a track. best bang for buck mod
- racing gloves. have you used one? if so which is the best
- helmets. where to buy and whats the cheapest
- racing line. how to best pick it and what suits my driving style
as you can see there can be a range of questions/discussions to be included, and as our club grows and attracts more track orientated members, a seperate forum will help!
maybe looking at placing it in the general disucssion forum
questions, comments and rude remarks!

All sounds good, and I agree great idea but don't we already have these opitions
within the current web.
Adding more, does it help or make it worst ?
It tends to be hard enough now to find items.
What about gluing these into current items.
Yes a search engine is needed.

cpufix - spot on. KISS Principal is best. We don't have the volume of threads required on this topic to make a seperate forum on the topic of racing worthwhile. Plus, generic racing questions such as what gloves to get my best better asked at a race dedicated forum such as autosports.com.au No harm in asking here, but just drop it in General.

Sounds good to me :D :D :D do it, do it now :P
But in saying that I think it can be incorporated under something that already exists. In an effort to save space.
Just a slight bit off topic but does anyone offer track days to Qld forum people already?

I reckon would be a great idea too, would also be good to compare track times, strip time slips etc. along the the tutorial style incorporated. Although this could easily be created in a generalised topic stickied in another section.
Tutorials would be good though where ever they end up being posted.

Start some suitable threads in the General Section first, and let's see the response. We can build up from there as appropriate.
