i know you can get TOM's stuff in Australia, the tom's barrel exhaust made 28 .5 horsepower gain at the flywheel dyno tested

Phuck thats a good gain on a N/A car!

But as uno teh Tom's stuff is uber expensive and would be like $3.5K for that system!

now that AAI in lidcombe has distro. rights i think it will be cheaper than buying direct from tom. Then again some of the margins on parts.... wow

I don't know about the power thing but if you want sound, any muffler will do?

I'm pretty sure toyota took the time to tune the exhaust lengths ;)

The best thing you can do is import one from usa their is a lot of different ones now and tuned to the IS250.

I have a TANABE MEDALION EXHAUST and it beautifully made and bolts straight on none of this chopping done by exhaust shops.
No drone and deep sound but not loud.
Lexus sells a few as well and F-SPORT exhaust is excellent LEXUS HKS only takes about 30min to bolt on from axle back.

im gonna save up for a TRD lol

?uestlove - October 24, 2008 08:08 AM (GMT)
Damn TRD is quiet man! I had TRD on my Supra and it sounded like stock! Got rid of it and replaced it with trust!

DR-JEKL - October 24, 2008 08:46 AM (GMT)
That's true the TRD is very quite.

My TRD exhaust system made my IS300 sound like a BMW sports muffler.

It's not raspy or doesn't bark when you step on it, but it does have a slight burble @ idle and sounds a lot sweeter @ high revs with a small increase in torque made @ low revs with the TRD fitted.
