Title: Great Service In Melbourne?
Description: Anyone care to share?

Hi all,
I'm in need of a 45000km service now as I've gone over, I don't really want to go back to Lexus of Brighton as I think they ripped me off for the 35000km service (lets say close to 500 for a minor), however, price aside, I was happy with the general service, customer service, and care they took in cleaning my car for me.
I'm just wondering if there's anyone who has good reports on any services they've had done for their IS200 in Melbourne? Price of course is a big factor (I'm still in Uni!!!! lol)
Thanks,
Yan

Please don't use the I'm still in UNI as a reason that you can't afford to have a Lexus serviced.
If you had enough to purchase a Lexus in the first place you would have also known the brand was going to cost for servicing.
True its not a excuse for high service cost but it is part of owning a Lux vehicle.

I didn't mention that I couldn't afford a service, I just don't want to get ripped off again at Lexus of Brighton. Plus, situations change, as I rack up more hours at uni, I'm doing less hours at work, thus I wouldn't wanna get ripped off.

Yes very true. I did try to get a couple of quotes here in Sydney from a couple of the Toyota dealers when I needed a service but they just recommend you on to the Lexus dealers cause they know the Lexus guys will charge top dollar.
Even when it came to parts if I wanted parts say for example for the 100K service from Toyota they are happy to supply them however they won't tell me the part numbers  .
Strange policies they have <_<

our local Lexus dealer does great service.
and yes, the workshop there service both Lexus and Toyota cars.
however, they have different hourly rates for Lexus and Toyota.
and I was told that because only Master Technicians are allowed to service Lexus vehicles, so that's why Lexus hourly rate is more expensive than Toyotas..
