Has anyone with the IS250 changed their own sat nav disc using the little picks like it describes in the user manual?

I bought the new disc and cannot get the clock out to expose the sat nav dvd-rom slot.

I put the picks in then try and gouge out the clock with a flat blade and it just sits there and flexes horribly and puts a lot of pressure on the hazzard light switch.

I'm worried I'll break it if I try and push any harder. It's an awful way of changing the disc.

Was kind of hoping someone else has done this and could tell me about their experience, or does everyone give in and take it to the dealer!
