The beanie's a good idea but you might want to invest in some exhaust wrap for your dump pipe as that would be radiating alot of heat also,

Just a suggestion.. :)

I think (don't quote me here) Nick was saying something about not having enough room to put exhaust wrap on it.

With this in mind and the fact the beanie doesn't look 'cool' have you considered going to HPC and getting the housing to your turbo treated with the hipercoat extreme coating?

They claim to be able to make a heat reduction of upto 35% under the hood on a track car.

Didnt have space to wrap the manifold.

Dump pipe I never got a chance to wrap, will do it aswell as the turbo beanie in the future, dont think this GB will go ahead any time soon though as to gather 5 orders from ACNZ is going to be quite a mission LOL

i might be interested... how do i find out what size turbo i have... ive trid to figure it out on my paticular one but cant... it doesnt have the metal badge on it

all its got is a .42 on the inside of the intake part

I use the hipercoat extreme coating on my race car headers and it is very not cheap. like nearly $600 for just the manifold alone (4-2-1 headers).

if you're going to do it on a turbo car, you want at least to do the manifold and exhaust housing and the dump pipe... hope you've got a spare $1K
