Seeing there is about 7 real altezza's in Australia, I don't like your chances.

yes not really selling...but looking to swap for 5MT altezza. do we have a deal? LOL

You wont swap it, simple as that. Do a manual conversion...

cause there are so few genuine tezzas in australia the chance of finding someone who wants to do this is very slim. But nice try :)
mton - March 22, 2009 05:18 AM (GMT)
the chances of finding a Manual RS200, and them wanting to swap for your AUTO RS200, maybe less then 7.425%
IS200-Winnie - March 22, 2009 07:20 AM (GMT)
As above. The chances of getting a properly legal compliance RS200 in Australia Is hard enough, let alone trying to get a manual. Your best bet would be to sell that and try buying a Manual some RARELY pop up every now and then but very rarely. Do a manual conversion... You would get it looking very stock as it uses the same length GB and it uses the same center console fascia plate

saw this car on carsales a while back quite neat looking :) I think your the only one with that front bar in australia

Lol to put your thread into perspective it's like someone wanting to trade their 110KG wife for Jessica Simpson!
It aint going to happen dude, even if someone did have a manual RS200 they aren't going to swap one with a slush box :P
law910 - June 15, 2009 12:59 AM (GMT)
thx bro. encouraging there!! Just cos RS200 are rare in Melbourne

Grr...take that back, how can you equate a Tiptronic RS200 to a 110KG woman? :o
Celica RA45 - June 19, 2009 05:57 AM (GMT)
i can help you out with a manual ecu and trd close ratio box all you need then is a pedal box and mastercylinder and your done
greeneyes - June 19, 2009 06:44 AM (GMT)
Yes, as an owner of an RS200 in NSW, they are as rare as hen's teeth and no-one who owns a manual would want an auto. They would have paid a fortune above the cost of an IS200 to get the sports version of the same car, and that means the 6speed manual.
Fortunately you can do the manual conversion in a professional way, far better than many people doing engine swaps. You have access to all the small parts needed via NZ to finish it off, and if I were you I'd take up Celica's offer of a box.
Mind you, if you talk to Black200 he will say you're mad! That's just because he takes us to pieces on Taupo racetrack with his slushbox! :D

yeh seen this one before. Looks like its been resprayed and a pretty bad job too. Also is it even a RS200. The steering is Lexus =S
iS_w3z - June 25, 2009 03:03 AM (GMT)
manual conversion!!!! thats the only way. go get yourself a smashed altezza or find a front cut and swap everything. like low km motor, gear box everything. I remember your car being quite high km.
