d3gnarts3 - January 11, 2009 11:26 PM (GMT)
Hi all,
This first appeared in another thread, but I've decided to repost here.
I got in touch with DKNE (Dumper King & Exhaust located in Australia) They have created extractors for the IS200 / AS200 cars
Their website is
http://www.dkne.com.au/I asked about bulk buy pricing for our members and got the following response.
| QUOTE |
HI,
Thank you for your interest.
3-5 extractors $630 6-9 extractors $600 10+ extractors $575
This includes postage Australia wide only to your door step. HPC also available $260 for any forum member.
Prices are only valid for 30days from quote. (Original date of this quote was 5th January 2009)
We only have 3 in stock until we go back on the 1-1/2" mandrel on our CNC. To created relationship with the forum and members we can offer these 3 for only $590 for the first 3 individuals who pay.
Then over time as members hear and put there names down on the group buy over the 30days we will know roughly how much extra to produce once we go on the 1-1/2 tooling.
P.s : These extractors are fitted on my own car, better response and fuel economy, got 720 hwy driving and normal every day metro driving got 620-650kms per tank. They are a direct bolt on. No welding or cutting needed. Thank you DKNE National sales team

Here are some pictures

Please register your interest, as mentioned in the reply the first 3 people to pay will get the introductory price, and more will be made if there is enough interest.
Cheers,

I don't think they'll fit your RS200 anyway. They're for a 1GFE.

they look good but you would also have to get a cat fitted right?? as they are built into the manifold...??
$590 isnt a bad price... its quite tempting

I've provided DKNE the link to this thread and they have advised of the following in response to your post.

It's very tempting. Does anyone know what I'd be looking at for shipping across the ditch?
How long are these prices valid for? Ok, just read it's 30 days...

hey guys i was just wondering what the power gain is if this was installed ?
if there is much at all.
IS400 - January 18, 2009 07:31 AM (GMT)
I personally wouldnt bother... the gains would be minimal for the amount of $$ spent...

I saw this late last year and was seriously thinking about getting them, too much $ spent over holidays. $590 is good including postage. Do you guys think its worth it? I want some more out of the 1G-FE, is this good start?

Just checking in again, any word on the cost of shipping these to NZ? I just might have a grand that I can spend on getting a set of these but not much more...

The 1G-FE is an economy engine, it'll cost a lot to get it to make even half decent power (as compared to other 2L engines anyway...).
These should get you better fuel economy/a wee bit more power. Whether you'd notice the power increase is up for debate.
I'm just keen on the extra economy cos I'm an old fart at almost 30 ;-)

HAHA, i'm interested in the fuel economy too. Need any extra savings I can get. Where abouts are you located?
I'm in Melb, do you think we can still get them for this price?

I'm in Auckland.
Still waiting to find out, no doubt we'll find out before long...
*EDIT*
The website says $595 retail:
http://www.dkne.com.au/lexus-is200-extractors-p-422.htmlSo it's really only $5 less... Maybe we can get a re-quote if we can find enough buyers?
d3gnarts3 - March 20, 2009 11:22 AM (GMT)
I sure he mention something about shipping also for the price quoted and dont think the website does.
and he didn't reply to me about shipping to NZ, I guess he put it in the too hard basket lol
just email them if ya keen, I've got something else in mind when i can afford to do it again.
