Title: Australian Toyota Nationals
Description: Welcomes you!

yojimbo - January 27, 2009 01:35 AM (GMT)
Check it out guys!

I havent missed one fo these in 7 years, its always a blast with up to 100 modified toyotas of all kinds gathered in on place for some friendly competition / partying / generally talking car crap all weekend.

Brett (IS1000) was there last year and I hope is considering going back this year.
I'll have my car there and I am encouraging as many of the Altezza Crowd to attend as well!

Have to get in quick to book accomodation ( we all generally stay at the same motel = 48 hour toyota car show!)

So if you love modified / restored toyotas, or just wanna get away from the family on easter weekend, come and have quite a few drinks with us in tropical Dubbo NSW.

http://www.toyota-nationals.org.au/

For those who are usure about the distance, I would be happy to organise and lead a cruise out ( and back) if necessary.

Matt

Though others uploaded the pics and I got no credit :(

Its a great weekend.

IS1000 - January 27, 2009 10:43 AM (GMT)
I will say it was a great weekend, layed back. I took a friend and we met some really good ppl.

I wont be going this year, as I will have another new bub just before the event..

Good chance to hang out and talk cars.

The accomdation place was just about to start reno's so there should be more rooms to choose from. I already booked a new room..

Matt if you dont have a room booked I have one of the new rooms book which is upstairs out the back. (big room) and will be cancelling it.

yojimbo - January 27, 2009 10:59 AM (GMT)

My co Driver is doing the business on that one, and he is a LOT more experienced at this than me.

Ill Put a full report from my side soon, still trying to get back to normal after the last month of bedlam.

Those toyota boys must have the shit with us by now ( between Bretts 5-6 trophies last year and the 7 trophy haul between Bronnie and Me this year)!

So lets really rub it in and take out the best represented club trphy as well in 2010!

iS_w3z - April 16, 2009 01:40 PM (GMT)

yojimbo - April 16, 2009 10:47 PM (GMT)
Yeah, Andy has a tendancy to do that (not his tyres, not his driveline..... :P). The last two vids are of me driving, first one that Stew posted is Andy.

IS1000 - April 19, 2009 10:11 AM (GMT)

Well I had already pissed off a sponsor by not putting on thier stickers, trying for the sleeper trophy (which I didnt win :( ).

And I never recieved plate surrounds :(

not to worry, next year.

Ouch.... that may have been my bad. As i recall, last we discussed you were still undecided on what plates were going on your car.

This is all in the capable hands of Stephen now, so he should have you sorted out in no time.

Anyway, huge congrats on the trophy haul you two! I'm been itching to get along to one of these events being A. A Toymods member B. A Toyota fanboy. One of these years...!

If we can convince Glenn and his Altezza, Reggie and Charlie to join you two in 2010, maybe coax Keith/Greeneyes along as well.... total domination would be within our grasp!

Matt

:o

Altezza Club and MrB endorse safe driving and the enjoyment of legitimate motorsport events.

Hence you should organise yourselves and get to the Toyota Nats in 2010.

JTMILLER - August 14, 2009 03:55 AM (GMT)
had a meeting with the supra club last night about the Adelaide Toyoshow this year, and the guy organizing it said when he was helping with the motorkhana at the nationals a bunch of you NSW guys expressed an interest in coming to the Adelaide show, don't suppose a few prize winning altezza's will make the trip and show the locals up? :P

yojimbo - August 14, 2009 04:32 AM (GMT)
Adelaides a long run :(

Id love to, but just a bit too far for me Sorry.

JTMILLER - August 14, 2009 04:56 AM (GMT)

That looks like so much fun!
Matt you really know how to enjoy your cars, I think it'd be well worth the trip.

When is the show, probably far to early for me to say hahah, but i can dream!

JTMILLER - August 14, 2009 05:59 AM (GMT)
It was supposed to be in late September but at this stage its looking around mid to late November, ill post up dates when its definite (the original "definite" dates had to be changed because the guy running the dyno has decided to run off to Port Phillip Island for the weekend >.<)

Would be awesome to get a few other IS's down, should make the show and shine a lot more interesting :D

IS200-Winnie - August 14, 2009 12:07 PM (GMT)
I will definetly be there :)
