I will need final numbers of people that are coming by the 31st of March so we can start booking stuff..

Accommodation: There is 2 ways of doing this we can stay as a group at the Top10 holiday park or you could source your own place to stay.....
Room availability: just checked and they have all the units still available


Events: Go karting, Paint ball, Cruise & photo shoots in Wellington, Gym kahna.
And clubbing for ever is keen....

I just did some looking online and discovered Bluebridge are not yet processing any booking for July let alone September...

as a dummy run using dates in April a return trip from Picton to Wellington for 1 adult and a car is (glup) $370.00

The interislander website is doing booking for September, and they have some web saver fares availble from Picton to Wellington $167.00 but they are sold out for the return (of the cheaper fares) the next available fare from Wellington to picton on the 21st is $202.00

So it's a difference of $1.00 between the two companies at this stage.

I did notice Interislander has discounts available if you are a tertiary student but I didn't go through to find the price of that.

Cannot get off work but maybe thinking of driving down late friday afternoon and meet up with you guys in the eve or in the wee hours of the morning :lol: But then leave sunday midday :unsure: So at least i'm there all day & night saterday. Will see how it goes. :ph43r:

This is the first Altezza Mega Meet..... you wont want to miss it!! :D

So after sitting down and discussing our plan for the long weekend Chris (GT4SUM), Diane (Altezza Girl) and I have settled on the following:
Friday 18th Sept:
8am - BP Solar (Auckland) - Meet and greet
9am - Leave BP - 9am SHARP - anyone who missed us will meet us at Morrinsville
1045am - Top Pub Car Park (Main Rd ) - Meet and greet again
11am - Leave Morrinsonville - anyone who missed us will meet us at Taupo
1pm ish - Taupo Water Front - Lunch stop & hole in 1 challange
2pm - Leave Taupo non-stop for Wellington ( fuel stop here or Taihape)
6pm - MMBC ( mega meet base camp ) bbq and drinks to get settled in

Saturday 19th Sept:
9am - Head of to Go-Karting
12pm - Lunch
1pm - Slipway for Gymkhana (Start @ 1:15pm sharp)
6pm(ish) - BBQ, swim, get drunk and maybe hit Wellington for clubs/pubs

Sunday 20th Sept:
9am - Paintball ( 2 teams or 3 teams )
12pm - Lunch
1pm - Cruise & photo shoot around Wellington
4pm - Free time, gas stop and more time with club members
7pm - Dinner - Cobb and Co and maybe prize giving

Monday 21st Sept:
10am - Pack up leave the motel so your good bye and crusie home [/QUOTE]

sweet as, will get the prices for slipway, karting and paintball, will also email the holiday park to see if they can give a group discount for the amount of people there are

Three things

1, do we need to book accommodation at top 10 ourself s or is someone going to get numbers and book total numbers

2, I'm in palmy and you guys aren't stopping in :(

South Island people.

We need to work out Ferry crossings and get booked. Looking at Interislander's website we are probably going to have to get the 1.10 sailing, arriving Wellington at 4.20, which should give us plenty of time to make MMBC for 6pm. That means to get there comfortably we need to leave Chch shortly about 8. That will mean driving pretty much straight through and getting lunch on the boat.

1. At the moment the plan is to get us a good group discount but let everyone book their own rooms so you can get what ever type of room you want etc.

2. We were thinking of meeting you in Bulls. Is that ok? Otherwise I'm sure we could do a detour to Palmy. Your call :D

bulls will be fine. will pass on ph number closer to time so someone can update when your close enough for me to drive and meet up.

Not yet, GT4SUM will let us all know when he has arranged it :)

Ok guys, the first post has been updated with ver1 plan for the weekend.

Accommodation negotiations for a group discount is still happening, Chris [GT4SUM] will let us know when we can start booking our rooms.

Make sure you start applying for your time off work now cos there is only 5 1/2 months to go!!! :lol: You wont want to miss our first national mega meet....it's going to be an awesome weekend :D :D
