Hi all, newbie poster longtime lurker.

Went for our second WOF today at VTNZ cause they're fussy down here in TGA and seeing as the wifee does most of the driving they respond when i ask them to look extra hard.
Which makes it 1 year today since we bought our baby.

and , Fail. sigh.

We are (un)fortunate enough to have white lens brake lights in our boot lid which was fine at the last WOF with the "red" bulbs behind them. Now they had faded and .FAIL

So i thought ok just nick down to supercheap and buy some replacements and as i pull the faded bulbs out i find the light bulbs are painted!! . painted !! :o

Now i'm not usually one to bitch and moan but...., maybe it's just our one bad experience with this one dealer (our second and we wont be going back). But i think it's fair to bring this to the attention of other members

1, When we first picked the car up the front strut brace was mising and when they were asked about it their reply was "oh, we didn't think you wanted it....... most people don't want them " !. I got it back and whilst bolting it in place found at least two of the strut bolts only finger tight

2, Not happy with the way the car handled two weeks after we brought (we both work days a week, so had to take some time off for this ) i took it for a wheel alignment. to find two completely wrecked front tyres insides to canvas (dunlop direzzas $200 plus each, dealer did eventually pay.

apparently the bottom arms needed replacement (quite common i hear), so they were replaced with second hand worn ones and no wheel alignment alignment done.


3, and the brake light bulbs!

i havent' at this stage named the dealer, sheesh whats a man to do ?.

thankfully we love the car and have no intentions of getting rid of it........ well maybe in a few years, but only to get a newer model

That's a car dealer for ya!! :angry: And they wonder why they get such a bad rap!!

Just re-route the wiring so they don't act as brake lights!

That's how IS200s have them.

yeah, some dealers can be real shady like that eh. tbh painted bulbs arent that uncommon though.. but stealign the strut brace and providing crap tyres is pretty low.

and HID's for extra effect :)
