Keen to head up to watch again. Finish work at around 4:30 so would get there at around 6:45-7:00

Helmet you can get one off trademe or if I'm not racing you can borrow mine.

Its all nothing but fun come down and give it a go :P

(keep in mind the turbo 2WD class is quite vicious LOL, think dragspec Supras)

Mate a stock 1GFE 6MT does low 17s Adrian, you should be aiming for 15s atleast!

Nar as long as you have a WOF and a rego thats all they check, last time I went down I didnt have my cert yet :P

ok...i think i'll just loan a helmet when i get there.

lol...its manual, so alot faster launching, mine's auto so can only start at 2000rpm or maybe at most 2500rpm.....if the turbo kicks in before the green light comes on then i'll be disqualified.....so damn...its hard....!

but to be honest, i reli don't feel like going there and embarass myself in front of soo many ppl....lol...A/T???and only 150rwkw????lol...

1GFE stock = sub 90RWKW, think you should be well into the 15s atleast or even high 14s, give it a go ;)

awww come on just race i did i the manual 1gfe just do it! haha. as nick said its all fun and there are way worse cars that go down so dont worry. good way ta test and experiment :D

Henry, you can use a motorbike helmet yes, but not a pedal bike's helmet LOL, imagine someone racing with a pink Dora the Explorer pedal bike's helmet haha!

Also saw like another 5 nice examples in the carpark etc..

Only did 3 runs on 6psi, was a bad night (well I just f**ked up LOL)

1st - Bogged down at the start to about 2000rpm but still manage to catch the WRX and pass him
2nd - Failed to launch properly again, Evo 0 (ZR4) I was racing blew something up and didnt get a time
3rd run - Mint launch, missed 2nd gear :( , but still enough to take a stock bubble shaped Galant VR4 (one before the Legnum shape)

Didn't get to better any of my times, best of 14.197

Vinex (Adrian) had a good first run in his 1GFE turbo, sounded tough!

MRTEZZ (Shuks) also gave it a go, good consistent times bud :)

KMG (Keegan) was also racing and think I got a text saying he came really close to getting into the 16s with his GXE10 manual

madaltezza (Jason) was video man for the night with the help of Senza (Mike) and my mate James who had my DSLR.

Didn't get a chance to use my semi slicks as I entered the C2 Class (Street 2WD Turbo)... So had to run on the 18s that are borderline...

man...last night was pretty much f***ed up for me...wad a dissappointment!!!

1st run = 15.8
2nd run = 16.03
3rd run = 16.4 (only did badly on 3rd because i forgot to shift up on A/T at Low gear!!! wad the F***, if not i reckon will be good at mid - high 15s....

i guess i shouldn't expect much on an AS200 A/T...just wait till i get a manual conversion! looking for a manual conversion kit by the way(hint hint) if anyone has 1 or found 1 can you guys let me know???

nick I reckon running at 10psi - better tyres - good launch you could've hit high 13's.... mean nights though - those rotarys and evos seem to dominate the quater mile - the silver supra was pretty impressive too pulling 11s

LOL didnt want to blow it up on the strip or kill my tires so wound it down to 6 rather then 10 for the track LOL
