EviLClouD - April 23, 2009 09:01 AM (GMT)
Hi guys i'm new here and in the market for an altezza! Located in Wellington, NZ :)
I'm in need of some help. I want an altezza, but don't know which to buy. Could someone point me in the right direction?
Something around the $11k price range.
From what i can understand, rs200>as200 :P
Cheers

You need one of each!!
Smooth tiptronic AS200 with the silky 1GFE 6cyl for around town each day...
and a 6spd RS200 with the raspy buzzy 3SGE 4cyl for the country blasts in the weekends!
:D

Hi and welcome!
Make sure you check the NZ Meets section as our Mega Meet 09 in Sept, its in Wellington!
Come along even if you dont have your car yet but still meet the crew and see the cars, can help you decide what you want and what you want to do :D

Heya!
Im from Wellington aswell :)
I bought my car privately after looking at HEAPS of them through car yards but the best place I came across in terms of car yards was the actual Toyota dealers themselves.
Not sure that you would find any for $11,000 at a dealer tho.
I guess if you are buying through a car yard the standard rules apply (ask questions, test drive etc)
If you have a look through some of the forums on here you can pick up some cracker questions to ask. That way you go in knowing what you want and what you should be looking out for. The dealers arent likely to try and pull the wool over your eyes if you know your stuff :) Certainly worked for me and im a female....I think he expected me to know nothing about cars at all! :P
:burnout:

Just updating my original post.
We ended up buying a AS200. Would have preferred RS, but AS will do for now.
Will update with pics later :D
