Title: My Gearbox Sounds Like Cats

I've noticed this annoying sound that comes from the gearbox now days, usually only in 5th & 6th when engine braking, it makes a light vibration mixed with a growl/whine sound,
As soon as you push the throttle just a tiny bit and the motor takes over again it disappears, its only when throttle is fully closed and your using the motor to slow down,
Apart from that, I've just replaced the oil with some Castrol VMX. 2L of the stuff, never had any problems selecting gears or grinding. Still shifts very smooth, except 1st, you have to blip the throttle to get it to select.
Is this the phantom rumble, or my gearbox ready to drop its guts...
If it does I'll bolt up a W58 or something <_<

I'd say probably the 3000rpm rumble, however mine seems to be around 3500 to 3000rpm.
Bloody horrible but my car isn't a quite car anymore anyway.

Got the exact same sound, will do a little more thinking about it while i drive today... Off to get GB oil... Woot for $34 a 1L bottle....
