It had to go over the pits.
Yes, the coilovers are not in it anymore.

...and what does the original owner think of the handling with the new weight distribution?? How does it feel compared to an Altezza Brett?
This should have been the finest product out of Lexus at the time! Tick the option "supercar sports saloon".. :D

Sorry mate, just seen this reply.
I cant comment on the Altezza but this handles really well I think. (for what it is) It has the stock shocks, wheels and is an Auto.
Going into and coming out of the corner could be much better if it was a manual. I will say Mat had thecar handling really well when I got it but I have stolen all the suspension off it for other things and to keep the price down.
I gave the car to Charlie for a weekend and hesaid he was supprised how it handled. He was going to do a write up on it somewhere. Charlie, Matt and Reg have driven the car so maybe they can chime in.
I am about to start 1 more conversion for someone which is a UZ power IS200 it will have an NZ made ITB manifold, Haltech ECU, the owner will be fitting the cams and some custom headers. He has been told it should make 500HP from the NZ guy who builds the UZ's. If this is the case it will make a great package..

Must be Damien or Brendon from A1Turbos in NZ I assume?
[/hijack] :P

the 1UZ is a beast...comparing it to the 1GFE and 3SGE...very torquey.
Love the V8 sound...it has a bit of a lag like the 1GFE being an Auto but will be a definite weapon in manual.
What I also notice that the stock suspension is still nimble even though there is a V8 seating under the bonnet.

Probably due to the 1UZ being 15kg LIGHTER than a 1G-FE...

Sounds better than the 80 ;)
I also thin the 1UZ weighs about 190 and the 1g weighs about 175
