I bought a 2002 Altezza Gita in February and have found this website really informative and finally decided I should sign up! I've nicknamed my baby Christine due to the temperamental alarm system I had installed and the fun I have sometimes trying to unlock the boot (especially while standing in the pouring rain!) - think I have it sussed now though!
My car is stock, but I'm looking to upgrade the CD player - I'll shop around for one that has orange backlight to match the dash lights etc though - if anyone can point me in the right direction as to where I could find one that looks good in an Altezza that'd be great!

Hey, Sony has a head unit with an orange light in its 2009 range, otherwise JVC has one thats got about 50,000 colors... Dunno how, pretty cool though..

Hi, thanks for the welcome everyone, and thanks for the heads-up about Sony and Alpine - I'll do a bit of shopping around (I want to keep the dash area as classy as possible!) I'm from the Pakuranga/Highland Park area. My Altezza is an AS200 auto and had 73,000 k's on it when I bought it. I've done some reading in the forums about tyres as mine are real noisy; someone told me it was because the tyres have directional tread - sorry - not very mechanically minded here so don't know too much about this! Something else to shop around for :P

where are the pics
