Hey all.

After the success of our last meet up Stu, Craig and myself have decided to have another go at it next month (August 29th). And its a bring the hand brake (ie partner) if you feel like it...... meet up.

At this stage we meet up late afternoon and show of our rides, New AltezzaClub merch :D and then head to the venue of choice for dinner and drinks.

As per usual the invite is of course open to all members / non-members / lurkers / tourists (ie Aucklanders), come along faces to names etc.

When: 1.00pm 29th August
Where: Strand reclamation carpark (same place as last time)

Plan:
Aucklanders - Meet @ Greenlane McDonaldes @ 9.30am and leave at 10? 3 hours will give us plenty of time to get to Tauranga with a stop somewhere for gas (most likely me depending how heavy my right shoe is :P )

Hamiltonians - Want to meet us along the way down to Tauranga or just meet there? We can be by Te Rapa McDonalds around 11.15-11.30?

McDonalds (or similar?) for lunch, and then off to Fergesson Park Matua for some artsy photos. I have alternate venues in mind if this turns out to be a no-go, I am hoping to use the high tide for a background. This should give us about 4/5 hours of playtime and crusing before we break off to get all prettied up for dinner.

Hey Caveman. Just wondering how many people have got RT's (hand-held radio jobbies)? It's a good way to keep a convoy in contact. I have got a couple which I use for snowboarding (very handy when you can't find people on the mountain). I will bring them along, and if anyone else can as well, then we should be able to keep in contact to a certain extent :)

As for Mt Maunganui and the breakfast ideas. Both excellent ones :D The mount ROCKS (best move I have ever made), and breakfast after a night out would be cool. Though it may end up being brunch depending on how hard a night it is :rolleyes:

And YES I am hungry now ;)

(the kind of bump when you fart at the in-laws dinner table and only the wife notices) :D

Been thinking about meeting in one place and then moving on to another for lunch may cause a few issues with convoys and general traffic chaos. Based on that, for the out of towners go ahead and pick either Wendys or McDonalds for lunch and i will revise the plan accordingly.

I will be checking out a more industrial area for photographs over the weekend if people are interested.

Looks like no-one bar Stu has a set of CB's for the mount cruise so we will just have to wing it, i will do my best to print out a set of local maps for all drivers so on the day we can roughly follow the same route.

I might be able to get a CB or two but need to see if they are free for me to use on that weekend.

Photo locations would be great too.
