Hey i was wondering if anyone would care to give me some feedback on what they think is the best choice in lowering springs, my gf just bought a 99 altezza pretty much stock standard, besides k & y struts leaves the car about 10mm lower than standard. adjustables are a bit to expensive, and i dont want to get them compressed as the handling would be shit, any ideas on good set of springs? heard jamex are not the go, cheers

if you dont get shortend shocks to accomodate lowered springs you will [f**k] your standard shocks rather fast, not to mention your handling would most likely be crap. adjustables are the best way to go and you will save money in the long run, bc or d2s cheapest set is like only $800 or $900 odd dollars new so its might be worth doing some homework on trademe or something.

Stick to brands!

I picked up my HKS coilovers for $800 on Trademe, done less then 3,000kms and 5 months old!

Just be patient and as soon as a good deal comes up, buy it!

Don't get D2's my set lasted 12months then started leaking.

secondhand hks ones for $895 on tm at mo. brand names are the better option but buyer beware with second hand adjusties!, they are usually only for sale beacause the are [f**k]ed or worn out in the first place. new ones will have a warrenty of somekind, even if they are cheap brand ones.

How much lower?

Nicely lower than stock, or ridiculously "look-at-what-I've got-endless-trouble" low?

With a bit of work you could ruin your gf's car for her!

This is how low Konis sit with stock springs, and the extra groove you can have cut in the shock when you buy them drops it another 12-15mm.

Some one had HKS adjusties at the meet on sunday. Think it was Nzandy.
Don't quote me on that

just sexc low lol, dont want the boys in blue all over it, standard ride height is just ridiculous the gap between the wheels and guard is massive, cheers for link

remember if you get adjusties that you will have to get them certed. the same as if you get lowered springs and they make the lowest point of your car lower than 100mm from the ground.
