Aw ratshit, I get worried about leaving my car places these days, prefer to park it out of sight and out of mind.
I'm trying not to be racist but I reckon I know what ethnic group is most likely to emulate that kind of jealous behaviour. I see it all the time in Whangarei, when they see someone with something they'll never own, they'll either try and steal it, or ruin it for the person who has worked hard to have it!
Sorry if that comment does seems racist, but sadly its becoming a reality. Just like a few 'Boy Racers' who do dumb shit ruining it for all the enthusiasts who put alot of work and time into their cars.
sockjammer - August 2, 2009 09:44 AM (GMT)
just tonight caught two young sh^ts trying to break into my car at Pak N Save car park, was trying a coat hanger on the window (dumb idiots) funny enough i had just bought a new mop for the kitchen, they both gapped it when i set the alarm off and snuk up behind them and said i was gonna f*c& them up. they were lucky i had my daughter with me. so couldn't chase after them.
I had my Door kicked in on my Subaru Blitzen, that sucked, would of been cheaper to get a new door but couldn't find one in fire engine red, so the repair was a bitch.

I hear what you're saying. I spent the first 22 years of my life in Whangarei. Had my fare share of run ins with these people you speak of. 99% of the time it was totally unprovoked animosity.
Anyway bad luck about your door Sl1d3wayzzz. I'd be devastated if anything happened to my pride & joy.

Sorry to hear that man, not a nice thing to happen at all.
Even worse if your still in the car... I was at the warehouse down Frazer cove in Tauranga (still had the sentra at the time and was in that), walking back to my car and there was a white dx with five angry little kids that didn't like the look of me or something, so I got in my car and proceeded to drive off, so they all got out of their car and one of them really didn't like the look of me so kicked my door in.... completely undeniably unprovoked.
So did a bit of my own detective work as I didn't manage to get their plates, but a friend recognized the car and the owner of the car. The driver squealed on his mates pretty quickly when the cops turned up on his door step. So ended up taking the delinquent that did it to court (turned out that everyone there knew him quite well on account of his frequent visits to the man), his excuse was that his girlfriend just dumped him... anyway eventually got the money out of him.

Edit Ive got details tho, i dont even give a [f**k] if i get done for assult. i didnt do anything to this peice of shit, its all on tho, home invasion time.

Ouch!
Rather than get yourself in trouble try and find a sneaky way to come out ontop, its not worth it if you end up getting done for GBH or Breaking & Entering. Trust me, I've been there and done that, didn't come out ontop either :(
Pretty stupid really, if you had of caught the little homo in the act and given him a severe beating it would be you standing in the court dock with him squeeling to the Police.
Perhaps a good panel beater can work out the dent, I had a pretty bad dent in the drivers door (car got kicked while merging through a croud at a party). He slowly pushed it out with a bar kind of thing and now you can barely notice it. Just a very light wave you can just make out in the reflection.

Hah, I'd say it's a good reason to NOT allow hand guns. Sl1de is quite rightly pissed, but honestly seems to be overreacting. What if he gets angry and shoots the guy who [he thinks] kicked the door in? Some dude's life for $500 of damage? I'm really glad we aren't allowed to carry weapons when there's people with anger management issues (not necessarily saying that's you, Sl1de, but look at people like Clayton Weatherston, and all the people you see on the news every weekend) like that around.
I'm with Leiden on this one - try and find a sneaky way to get some revenge. $500 isn't worth an assault charge, and if you do get on his wrong side, your car might suffer again. Alternatively park your car there again and bait him, but this time with a web cam sitting on it recording. You'll get your money back (at $10 a week for the next 3 years :() then...
And re: Whangarei - I ran into a dude (in Dunedin) who was from Whangarei one night when I was out drinking. He had the funniest story ever to tell me about a certain ethnic group stealing shoes etc. Good times.

jeremyflower - August 3, 2009 09:20 AM (GMT)
So now if anyone does beat him up the cops will know exactly who to come look for, you've left a lovely paper trail for them to follow...
Congratulations.
itsthechad - August 3, 2009 09:26 AM (GMT)
Seems like we have some angry Altezza owners out there!!!
Dont get me wrong I would be totally pissed if someone kicked the door of my car in, but probably not enough to go round telling everyone I was going to give them the "bash"
AND I grew up in Northland
Good luck sorting it out though

That's alright, it's OK to bash people!
Really, dude's a wanker for kicking in your car, but be the bigger person. There's a side bonus of not getting a conviction against your name too.

Na, hes got beef with me. he threw shit at my car the night before when my mate was drivng and i was in the passanger seat, thats why its the passanger doors kicked in, casue hes got a problem with me. he wont be able to afford to fix the dent i already know that. and plus, i probly am overreacting but im young, im 17, i worked [f**k]ing hard for this car, and i dont owe any money on it. not every 17 year old has an altezza do they
JIMKRAZTEZA - August 3, 2009 09:52 AM (GMT)
mm.. i think u shud go to the wreckers and get a door.. that would be ur cheapest option ....
calculate the cost of the door and stuff and give him that amount of punches in the face !!!
Leiden - August 3, 2009 10:46 AM (GMT)
Perhaps a mild beating is in order :ph43r:

So if you had seen the guy do this and tried to stop him and something happened to him... it's murder. Nice.
More liberal PC crap.
greeneyes - August 4, 2009 05:11 AM (GMT)
You will get no redress in NZ Courts. They have Law but not Justice..
You're a flthy rich middle-class white boy if you can afford a flash car and all those poor oppressed minority groups have every right to kick in your door because you are making them feel inadequate with your arrogant display of wealth...
With 50years of Socialism behind them there is no weight at all for the concept of private property in NZ Parliament or Law Courts. You can spend thirty years grafting your ass off building up some wealth and then finds it counts for nothing compared to some scum you hurt when he damaged it.
Personally, you should be able to shoot some bastard for a $500 door- it would teach him a lesson he would remember for the rest of his life! :D
Sl1d3wayzzz - August 4, 2009 05:47 AM (GMT)
haha yeah. and im not some filthy rich white boy lol. Im Nagi Tahu actully lol. i just worked on our farm for a long time and have scroed myself a building apprentiship, hence why i say ive worked [f**k]ing hard for this car lol. just [f**k]s me off some peice .... kicked in my car, and i dont even know the guy.
b00yeah05 - August 4, 2009 06:09 AM (GMT)
someone did that to my car also...parked in town, came back and found 3 dents on my car and shoe marks..!!
i know the feeling..
Abaddon - August 4, 2009 06:40 AM (GMT)
It might not need a new door... in aus anyway there are places that specialise in dent removal without painting etc.
http://www.dentmasters.com.au/I've seen some work those guys have done on an old supra and did not think it would be possible.

What makes you different to them if you go around thinking your 17yr old big tough boy and give them a good smashing will resolve anything ? Damage has already been done, and like you said "he wont be able to afford to fix the dent i already know that. " Personally it would be very hard to convince me that you haven't done anything ever that really pissed someone else off and them wanting to come and smash you.
What they did is no doubt absolutely wrong, but show the society you can do better than them, and most of all show those ratbags that did the damage to your car that a $500 dent is not worth beating up someone and having cops show up on your door step at 2am in the morning.
(Sorry if my above comment does not sound to friendly on you. I'd just like to see NZ society change into a safer environment to live in once again like when I first moved to NZ 16 years ago.)
I really do wish you the best of luck in resolving this matter.

Well said...at the end of the day it is 'just' $500 so not worth all the hassle, surely if you were able to buy an altezza you could afford to take a hit of $500, you might even be able to claim it on your insurance so you end up paying excess only and since you know who did it you could point them to your insurance
Just my 2 cents

someone kicked the door of my van in, and with a closer look, there was a "foot"print , not a "shoe" print!! thought it was pretty funny actually, gave him fair dues for doing that with no shoe on!!
good old '84 L300's, just took the door card off and popped the dent out. good as new!! (well, 25 years old new) :D
i know how you feel tho, got my car broken into a few years back and they stole my BMX. i couldn't get my head around what made them think they had the right to steal something i worked hard for. like why did they think it was ok for them to do that? it was my treat to myself, and rather than working for one themselves, they decided to steal it!!
it really grinds my gears!!!!
good luck, and i hope it all gets sorted out in your favour
i am sure i saw something on tv once about a town in the usa where it was illegal not to carry a gun? could be wrong tho.... maybe greeneyes could go live there with charlton hestons "cold, dead hands" ;)

Yes, I read about that... only a small town but crime died off real quick!
Other low-crime places to live would include Switzerland and Finland, the two countries with the highest gun ownership in Europe..
When I teach kids to shoot I tell them the 5 reasons to go armed-
1- To protect your King
2- To protect your country and yourself from foreign invaders
3- To protect your country and yourself from your King
4- To protect yourself and your family from criminals
5-To put food on the table
Personally I'm a great fan of the rulers being in fear of the people, not the other way around! We need a few politicians & common criminals swinging from lamp-posts every now and then, to remind then how life works.. :D
Sorry for the hijack Sl1d3wayzzz.. I get pretty enthusiastic about law 'n order...
Spoon - August 16, 2009 04:18 AM (GMT)
Of course the other thing to note, Greeneyes, is that the USA (which has to have the highest gun ownership in the developed world) also has by far the highest percentage in prison. 1 in every 130 people there is in prison. Compare that with 1 in 540 in NZ, 1 in 650 in the UK and 1 in 775 in Australia. Even with that percentage of criminals behind bars, their homicide rate is still massive - 3-4 times NZ/UK/Aus, with very few (if any, depending on how you count) developed countries ahead of them, or anywhere near behind.
If NZ had a bunch more criminals in prison (1 in 130 people, for example) and current gun ownership rules, I'd love to see how our violent crime rate compared to other countries.
Stats from:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_count..._by_murder_ratehttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_count...arceration_rate
koz - August 16, 2009 06:07 AM (GMT)
I'd say the Swiss (if not the South Africans - from what i have heard) are the most highly armed. Everyone is issued a fully automatic assault rifle and 9mm pistol, in fact it’s mandatory.
Why isn’t everyone shooting up everyone?
As far as the NZ prison population goes, compared to the US is the simple fact far fewer people are convicted. Just look at the guys who killed someone performing an exorcism and walked away with community service. The guys who assaulted the Prime Minister and walked… In any other country someone trying to harm the head of government, they would have been dealt with differently, very differently.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crime_in_New_ZealandThat doesn’t look very good, does it?
Murder ain’t the only crime in the world, and like someone said, guns don’t kill people, people kill people.
AND, most deaths by firearms are in fact suicides.
