Title: How To Fix Err3

amnesia - August 23, 2009 07:32 AM (GMT)
I haven’t tried this so I don’t know whether it will work or not.

All I have done is translate from www.altezza-club.ru

Err1 (Error 1) - error associated with reading discs. That is, radio can not read music disc. There may be a problem both in the disk itself, and the cassette recorder.
To start, try to insert a new disk, if the problem is not gone, clean the laser head (she may be dust). If cleaning does not help you, the only option - replacement of the laser head or the whole car radio.
Err3 (Error 3) - error associated with most stereo systems. And more precisely, it means that you pushed the drive very much, or at the wrong angle and he got in the wrong section. A detailed report with pictures and publish guidelines for the treatment Err3 and disassemble of the center dash

The Administration is grateful Askar aka Audzaki for the information provided.

Download the PDF file for instructions on how to take the radio apart and possible fix.

hey there.

cpufix used to repair the parts that wore out causing the dreaded ERR3.
Best and most economical method of repair is to carefully remove the head unit and install it on the shelf in place in the rubbish bin.
then replace it with a new shiny ERR3 free headunit.

in short throw it out.

Colin- What do you think?

Its one cause of ERR3 I assume, the CD missed the stacking rack and climbed above it.

Mine have popped out going over a bump in the road before, so I think it was in a slot so the rollers could grab it.

I don't think you need to remove the plastic panel surrounding the gear box and cigarette lighter to remove the head unit.

Most Err3 that I've looked are caused by the stacker getting out of sequence, usually one of the stacker supports jumps out of its bearing.
But in this process parts of the stacker can also get damaged and need replacement.
I've only looked at one Err1 and in this case replaced the laser unit.

I've also managed to get some broken units so will be looking at doing more repairs.
