To late :)
Chucked them in the oven. (do one at a time)
120c
Left for 5min pulled out and used a screw driver to gently pry up the top 2 tabs and whilst applying pressure pulling it open.
Once the top 2 tabs slide out i put it back in the oven for another 2 mins to reheat the glue. Used a screw driver to gently pry up the bottom 2 tabs and whilst applying pressure pulling it open.
and... OPEN!!! wooo
Once its open quickly separate out the chrome from the clear plastic while the glue is still warm.
Ill grab some pics for you guys of what they look like open.
Another question
Colour?!?!
Im thinking satin black?
and should i de yellow the lenses? i heard you can sand off the yellow

IMO gloss looks a lot better when you put the lenses back on, as satin paint looks dull and cheap imo.
I used a gun metal type grey on my headlights and it is a pretty good match for the IS300 tailalmps.
As for the yellow lens, you can pop out the yellow lens.
Search on the myis forums for the deyellowing foggies DIY tutorial.

i've done this before and tell you what its hard getting the yellow off the glass + the glass is extremely fragile. on a silver car try you can either colour code or paint them black, gunmetal or a smoked tint. I got 2x spare rear housing + clear projector + 2x chrome bezels if you want em for something decent. :)

Oooooo defiantly could use those clear lenses, had any experience tinting the lenses a different colour?
I got all the rest of the stuff i think, got a set on the car that im going to leave as stock and then this 2nd set which i am going to mod up.
Is the glass really fragile? i better be careful, i took on out and it seamed quite thick different from what i expected!
