Description: What is best ?
DrUsTR - August 27, 2009 05:38 AM (GMT)
I was just wanting to get some advice on the best way to clean the seats and the door trims....
If any one could help with this it would be mostly appreciated...
Like what did you use, how good it works etc...
Andrew ;)

On leather seats I use mothers leather cleaner followed by mothers leather conditioner.
The meguiars gold class leather cleaner/conditioner 2in1 product is garbage.

Is it ok to use a normal leather cleaner on the perforated seats? don't want stuff getting in there and doing something to the electrics :P

My car came with a spray bottle of ArmourAll protectant from the previous owner, almost used up, and I've been using it as well, the dash looks mint.
Just be careful not to get the spray onto the windscreen, leaves a mark on it that needs solvents to remove.

I believe it may be from using armorall and having the car in the sun, check out 'Melting Dash" on the MyIS forums it could also be from using armorall then other products afterwards but from what they say its the cause :( sorry guys
Maybe get a wet cloth and sponge it off just in case?

Yea, Armorall interior spray
Just dont get it on the steering wheel and hand brake
For seats, I just vacuum it cause I dont have leather seats
I heard that you can rent a Rug doctor from Woolies for cleaning non-leather seats, anyone got info for that?

for cleaning fabric seats - i highly recommend armour all interior cleaner - just spray it on lather and wipe with dry cloth after. works really well. stay away from prestone interior cleaner, the one with the built in brush on the cap, they are crap and pricey

try that armour all fabric cleaner - does a really good job.
re pen mark you could scrub it out with the creme glass cleaner that you buy from auto shops - works really well :)
