Hey guys, just wondering if all my other air bags will work if i use an aftermarket non air bag wheel? or if there is a 'air bag defnder' type unit to prevent the light etc being on?

Probably not.

Anyway, you won't be able to get a WOF (if you're in NZ) if you remove any factory fitted safety devices, airbag steering wheel included.

Sorry Bud.But i think you'll find you can't replace your airbag steering wheel with anything aftermarket.has something to do with frontal impact in a crash.Plus you're down grading one of the cars safety features.

I maybe wrong, but other members may no more.

TRD does an Altezza Steering Wheel :D

Jeremy's right. Legally you can't get a WOF. Even if you do get a dodge one it'll invalidate your insurance (if you have any).

See page 23. http://www.ltsa.govt.nz/certifiers/virm-in...ral-07-v3a4.pdf

Looks like you can get a LVV Cert. to remove the air bag but that make it's a very expensive wheel

Not really too concerned about everything mentioned - car is going for LVV once the V-mount is completed and it has a tune, just wondering if the passenger airbag will still work with the airbag light on OR if there is a defender that tricks it in to thinking the steering airbag is still in location? thx~!
