Title: Sway Bar Bushes

Torquenstein - September 27, 2009 11:00 PM (GMT)
Question to all you people with aftermarket sway bars.

Where do you get your bushes from?

I just got some TRD yellow sways, and there is nothing in the nolathane book with the same dimensions for the front. And nothing listed at all for the rears because they are weird shapes.

Anyone got any part numbers etc?

the TRD ones themselves arnt really an option.

i haven't got aftermarket sway bars, but "Stocks" are always my first port of call for suspension parts, they alway seem to have the best prices and know who to talk to if they haven't got anything in stock ('scuse the pun lol )... http://www.georgestock.co.nz/index.html

yep, def give stocks a call. pity the wgtn branch closed down earlier in the year. (pretty sure they do superpro)

or go see interpart on sydney st i think? they picked up all the leftovers from stocks wgtn branch when they closed

otherwise go have a chat to the lads at autolign in petone (they do nolothane i think)

otherwise if you're still stuck, have a chat to chris at mossrax in town, he's a very onto it chap.

Have you emailed Nick for price on them? I though they were pretty reasonably priced.
What diameter front bar have you got?

other one i forgot is to have a look at whiteline catalogue (autolign do whiteline stuff) as they do alot of bigger swaybars, so could have something to suit.

WTF!! I paid less than that for a complete Cusco bar!

How about a coarse round file in a drill and open up the stock bushes a little. Maybe a wire wheel... You must only be looking for a couple of mm in diameter and they do compress a bit.

Don't forget the rubber grease!

Yeah that was probably going to be my next course of action. Didnt wanna go down that road though as it is just a bit messy. Sigh.
