Hi guys,

Just wondering what opinions are.....as e-manage is massively cheaper than powerfc!

so price vs performance.....which one? running a 3sge +t aiming for around >200kw ... ?

Completely different items.

eManange is a piggyback ECU where the PFC is a stand alone unit.

You also got the eManage Blue or the Ultimate.

I'm seeing just over 200RWKW with the eManage Blue still, but ideally would want to get an Ultimate or a Link in the future if I was to keep the car.

The eManange blue seems to do what I need it to do for now anyway so no point replacing it

understand they are different items - both are designed to effectively get to the same end point ....to a degree.... my question is...

for the extra money for the powerfc is there any actual benefit (worth while) over the e-mange when only aiming for 200kw.... ?

All i am getting is people telling me that e-manages are shite....but these are from people that all have powerfc... so opinions/experiences?

the biggest thing would be trying to find someone good who can tune the emanage properly. i live in the manawatu and every tuner around my area wount go near them with a 10 foot pole as they are difficult to tune aparently, where the apexi is simple and i can be tuned off the handcontroller ( in saying that, you can tune a emanage using a greddy e01 boost controller). you also have the boost control fuction on the apexi where you just plug in a boost conrol solinoid, where the greddy doesnt. the greddy can actually be more expensive new by the time you buy the computer and the seperate adapter loom to suit. but a second hand one will no doubt be a cheaper option.( theres one on trademe with loom at mo). i think stand alone ecu's are the better option at the end of the day.

The main difference I've noticed with the powerFC is the cold running, mine used to stutter like a bitch while cold if you got close to boost. Now with the powerFC runs smooth as a very smooth thing.

If you are thinking of going further in the future you might aswell get a powerFC now save doing things twice.

If you are looking to stay at the 200kW mark you can happily use the e-manage.
