Dear Altezza Club,

Following on from the success of last year, we are pleased to invite your club to attend Thunder in the Park at Pukekohe Park Raceway on December 6, 2009.

This offer is exclusive to Car Clubs and we’re offering you the chance to safely display your cars on the Hillstand – have a social day out, promote your club to members of the public and watch some seriously good motorsport, all for only $10 per adult for the Sunday – children under 14 free.

Action and entertainment to suit the whole family and a cost effective way of holding your Club Christmas function!

With 10 classes competing, grids of over 30 cars each, high octane lunchtime entertainment and free pit entry, this race meeting is one of the premier events in Auckland.

Attached you will find information covering the event and the classes running, as well as an application form for tickets.  Simply complete and return to register your interest and secure your position.  Please feel free to include details in your club magazine or website and we would appreciate if you could forward this onto your Members.

We look forward to seeing you and having you share this awesome event with us.

Kind Regards,

Gary Lathrope

Well, if you guys are keen, what else do we need...

A little tent thingy is good as it might be blazingly hot or it might rain...

A display board to stick some photos on that some keen dude prints off A4 sized from the site and laminates.. A couple of motorsport ones like Boothy's V8 & a Targa car, something VIP, some road warrior...

A picnic table and chairs.

Something to rope off the cars and stop them being covered in finger prints.

Three clean clean Altezzas

anything else??

2nd October 2009 Newsletter

Hello Everyone,

There has been soo much going on since our last newsletter.  The good news is that, after several false starts, we can now confirm that Hampton Downs will be part of the event -we will be the first major motorsport event to use the track. A special thankyou to Tony Roberts who has moved mountains to make this happen.
........

Manukau City and their "Full Throttle" weekend is coming together nicely and there is still some room for more car displays, so take advantage of this opportunity to promote your car club and contact Ru at the office or eventmanager@targa.co.nz

We are very proud to announce the start of a new relationship with VTNZ, they have come onboard to help promote the safety message and as such are now sponsoring the Targa Safety Vehicles. The graphic design of these vehicles looks awesome and are sure to catch the eye.

That's all for now
Peter and the Targa Team
