Yeh i know i do!! even without the turbo the bodysetup on that thing is crazy! It would be nice to have a rare car in Aus, feels like every 2nd car i see is a isx00 sad.gif

I promised myself that my next car would be a 2 door rotary though lol

Stephen - RX-2 Coupe? tongue.gif

riderzx10r - or an R100?

RX2 and r100 would both definitely be on the look at list (If i could find one!!)

But i know in the end it would be a Series 8 Type RZ (again assuming i could find one!!) in black or white :) Or a RX-3 with a 20b transplant so i could do wheelstands like a motorbike =D

When you need a quote on parts to rebuilding the engine PM me  (I work at a Mazda dealer)

Got to love old rotors but I don't have the patience to own something that temperamental. I spent plenty of time cursing around in RX3's & 7's back in my younger days. 20B RX3 sounds cool. Remember seeing the old PAC one at Meremere drags. Sounded amazing.

A quote from a mate who puts it the best:

QUOTE
When you own a rotor, each and every single day you start that car, your gut's churn, you clench your arse cheeks together and you pray to god that at a minimum, the fcuking thing starts and holds idle.. If you're unsure on how to diagnose any problem relating to a rotor... Stay away!

And another mate who owns an rx7 s8:

QUOTE
man rotors are awesome i love mine to death you just need deep pockets to own one, the bang can come at any time for no reason even if you treat it well and not only will no warranty cover it but it's also $8k+ to rebuild an FD engine if that's the kind of thing that would ruin you financially once combined with the elevated running/service/fuel/insurance/rego/condoms and defect (trust me) costs then it's a decision which really has to be made carefully.

Personally it's worth it to me, if mine blew up tommorow i'd just grin, bear it and rebuild it. That's rotors and that's life... the reason rx7s are so cool is cos not just anyone can own one it takes a real sacrifice, they can be expensive and frustrating to own and they are difficult cars to drive on the edge unlike things like skylines, silvias and commodores which anyone can just buy, maintain, turn key and drive whenever with minimal fuss.

before I had my accident refer intro thread here me and a couple of mates raced an rx3 with a 20b. the guy who owns it also owns the world fastest rx3 word record. his street car the one we raced has done a low 8 and has any gear that is not needed on the race car any more. I have some photos of the street car some where I will dig them out later. its tubbed and makes 1000HP!!! fastest street car I have ever come across.

people that keep blowing them up is coz they thrash them all day everyday, take care of them they will last

Everyone loves a rotor :) its something about the noise and the insane rpm that do it,

There is a 20b S4 for sale on the JDM style tuning forums... unbelivably sexy

Man even though the pics are small you can see that that thing is a monster!!

But your right, cars cant cut it to the pure acceleration you get in a bike

riderzx10r - October 23, 2009 02:13 AM (GMT)
if he put all the drag gear on he would wipe the floor with the bikes lol

he is keen to do it and so am I but I have no bike and my IS200 is fast but not in the same league as this thing......
