NewZealanda - October 29, 2009 03:04 AM (GMT)
Wow someone should just buy you a brand new one it looks like :(

What hit you and how fast were they going? In a 50km zone? Were you stopped or moving? If you were stopped did you end up in the back of someone else?

YellowRS200 - October 29, 2009 03:23 AM (GMT)

WOW!! That's a good hit. What was the other vehicle?

Think by the look of it,you'll be getting another tezza.

lexism - October 29, 2009 03:27 AM (GMT)
WOW!!!!! man i got tapped and it just cracked my bumper, ended up costing 14 grand to fix :|, mind u I had everything replaced and not fixed. This will be a fortune!

xnickx - October 29, 2009 03:27 AM (GMT)
Oh wow god! Hope you weren't injured, who was at fault?

I'm sorry to say but by the looks of it, it might even be written off.

Quick glimpse you will need:
- Rear bumper cover
- Rear muffler
- Boot lid
- LH rear 1/4 panel
- RH rear 1/4 panel
- LH tail lamp
- RH tail lamp
- Rear absorber
- Lower rear panel
- Tire well
- LH 1/4 wheel house panel
- RH 1/4 wheel house panel
- Taillamp covers x 2
- Air duct (under bumper)
- Boot lid hindges
+ More

Possibly even need a rear part of the chassis rails etc :(

Oh no...that sucks...

Grab any non-obvious parts you can from the car and sell them before the insurance company takes it away. :P

jtm_usa - October 29, 2009 05:12 AM (GMT)
arg i feel for you bro , i crashed my altezza last week and i know your pain :(
although mines not as bad every scratch hurts me even to see on others cars.
wish you all the best bro and may luck be on your side !

edit:

also why is there massive damage on the tezza and virtually no damage on the camry? i know theres crumple zones, but shouldnt the one going 80km's be the more damaged vehicle? or are camrys the new hilux?

oriphin - October 29, 2009 05:49 AM (GMT)
:( i feel sorry for you man.. my guess would be write off.. maybe a good thing depending on what its insured for

mikeyde - October 29, 2009 06:28 AM (GMT)
Yup, that certainly sucks. What year is your tezza and how much is it insured for if you don't mind me asking?

ar rai wa ! - October 29, 2009 06:34 AM (GMT)
Thanks guys
my car is 98 and i think it was insured for 22k (5 years ago)it was the price when i bought it

Robo - October 29, 2009 07:11 AM (GMT)
Did your insurance renewal say how much it's currently insured for? 'cos it certainly won't be 22k now.

ar rai wa ! - October 29, 2009 07:12 AM (GMT)
yea it wont be 22k but not sure on exact amount will need to check with them again

koz - October 29, 2009 07:31 AM (GMT)
Gutted for ya bro.

johndoe1003 - October 29, 2009 07:34 AM (GMT)

You should still see a doctor within the next day and get checked for whiplash in your neck, especially if you have any stiffness or soreness next morning. Worth the investment to have it on ACC records.

Yes def go to a doctor now, because if you claim any injury down the line and its not documented (especially injury's like whiplash that are very evident after the accident although most people who scream whiplash are just bs'ing) then the insurance company is going to drill you and ask why nothing got done after the accident.

cpufix - October 29, 2009 05:50 PM (GMT)
Man that is not nice.

Do the doctor thing as you only have like two days to record it with ACC.

lexism - October 29, 2009 08:01 PM (GMT)
gah man I feel you, I got rear ended start of this year. What I can't understand is the lack of damage to the other car. My hit was much much smaller and I rode the other car off (evo6). The only thing I can think of is that my alloy wheel in the boot took the brunt of the force.... altezzas dont have them hey, they have small space savers...

ar rai wa ! - October 31, 2009 01:27 AM (GMT)
The car has gone to Master Motors(oppersite toyota northshore) to fix it
hopefully they will get all the part from nick lol

lonestar - October 31, 2009 07:01 AM (GMT)
ohhh MATE, that really sucks! hope the police will charge this guy with careless driving because essentially thats what it is...

seriously dont see how you get all the damage and he gets away with minor damage

NewZealanda - October 31, 2009 10:45 PM (GMT)
Yeah or the guys insurance could buy him a new one! :D In red. No burgendee

MightyTeza - November 1, 2009 04:30 AM (GMT)
Sorry to hear about that bro :( Hope no one was injured!
