Title: Auckland Panelbeaters?

jtm_usa - October 29, 2009 05:23 AM (GMT)
does anyone know of any good, trustworthy, truthful panelbeaters who won't take me for a ride and charge me ridiculous prices for my fixups?
north shore would be nice, but im willing to travel anywhere near the city or furthur for a good deal.
any help would be great :)

Avoid Barrys Point Panel... Just don't do it... they did a horrible job
fixing up a skyline I had. Just bogged it and charged for full metal work.

If you were willing to travel, I have had good experience with:

Castle Panel & Paint in Kumeu

Brian Berry panel\beaters - Penrose

Just remember that cheap and good don't go in the same sentence.

I do many panelbeater quotes so generally get a good idea.

Agreed with Bryan Berry above too!

The best I've come across so far is Turners PB, they have even become Toyota and Lexus Approved Repairers, gotta mean something don't you think ;)

Ellice Road Panel and Paint is also decent and price there isn't bad either.

Give me a ring if you need a hand pointing in the right direction etc

haha ive never had to deal with any panelbeaters , but ill deffinately start there and get some quotes for my tez on saturday sometime.
its true that cheap and good dont go lol :P but im willing to spend that extra amount for a good quality job.
do you think it'd be easier to just buy the bumper/hood 2nd hand or new? might be more expensive i know, but i want my car looking good again :( lol

oh and hey nick, do you happen to have that part number/price for a Left Hand Passengerside headlight (full unit) for the newer lights? 2003+ model altezza's ?
really need to stick a headlight in that gap where my lights missing it looks so out of place and sticks out like a sore thumb :P

The only guys who were professional in were some asian guys on Liverpool Street, Papatoe. They did a brilliant job. And when they said "in two days" they meant it.
Used them back in 2006 though.
They were pretty cheap too. I'll try and find their number and address for you tomorrow if you want.

Are you going through insurance?

We use Wakefield to do most of our repairs & accessory aero kits at work also. Very high standard of workmanship.
