Hi guys, not sure if this is the correct place to post this?

I'm looking to buy an IS200 (auto) , in the very near future

Just wondering if there's any thing, mechanical/body wise that i should watch out for?

Thanks, Rob.

Good luck on the buy :)

Good solid cars with very few issues

2 to watch out for:
CD player has a common issue (search for ERROR3)
Bushes can wear quite easily causing a knocking sound in the suspension

Both quite cheep and easy to fix :)

I just bought mine exactly a month ago! Don't be fooled by the km's each car has done. From all the is200's I inspected, the car I purchased had done the most km's and passed the compression test better than those with lower mileage. And be aware that some sellers strategise their time of sale so they do not have to fork out money for an upcoming major service. From memory, this is around the 120,000km mark - correct me if I'm wrong.

Enjoy the hunt and be patient :)
