Title: Brake Capillaries -white Or Red
Description: hmmmmmm cant decide

Sistezza - November 1, 2009 07:10 AM (GMT)
Guys, Ive got a white altezza and currently the Brake capillaries are red, starting to chip etc so time for a re-paint.
Cant decide if i should keep them red (everybody has red one) or white. in saying that the cars white so could look stupid. If painted red, would get white Altezza/Toyota Capillaries decals but if painted white i'd get black decals.

These things matter...lol. gota get it right.

What you rekn??

or even other colours??

I wouldn't go white,otherwise you'll be forever cleaning them(brake dust)

Stick with the red. :D

Maccabro - November 1, 2009 07:41 AM (GMT)
paint them gold!. they would look good on a white tezz and you could use ether the white or black stickers. mine are matched to the same gold as the brembos on sti wrx's. they dont look out of place at all!

F-Sport Blue would look cool but that's not red or white so not much help ^_^

I wouldn't go white. Like you say, everyone has red. Try something different. Blue, black, etc.

I would stick with red, everyone has it but thats because it looks the best :D

HOT2XS - November 1, 2009 09:53 AM (GMT)
Yeah, I would stick with red. Stands out really well :)

MightyTeza - November 2, 2009 05:27 AM (GMT)
IMO, do it black as the decals are white. ;)

mikeyde - November 2, 2009 05:59 AM (GMT)
I actually like the blue, I had a silver celica and I painted the callipers silver and I thought it looked quite good.
Saw a silver altezza recently with silver callipers and white writing and that looked better than I thought it would so I've changed my mind about black on silver for my own silver altezza-it's gna be white on silver.
So maybe white callipers would suit it too, but I'd go blue :D

tikboy2007 - November 2, 2009 07:15 AM (GMT)
i'd go black on white decals :)

red is too common i think, but this is me with a silver car

Depends how badly you want to stand out with the white on white =D Personally, I'd go with red. Not because everyone is doing it but I think the colour combination is damn sexy.

The black capillaries with white decals could look cool. too many choices....Blue would also look good. Will have to think about it. Will add photos once done.

Sorry I can't hold my tongue any longer, the word is not capillaries, it's CALIPERS (or spelt with 2x Ls if you are english...)

Capillaries are extremely small blood vessels located within the tissues of the body.

LOL Was wondering how long you'd last Jeremy!

FYI here is a silver one with white decals and black calipers, looks great IMO:

alimac - November 3, 2009 07:38 AM (GMT)
Capillaries should be red, the colour of blood

IS200-Winnie - November 3, 2009 08:29 AM (GMT)
Am I missing something here? capillaries? I thought it was calipers? Now either I am a retard because I have been calling them calipers for years, your not talking about the calipers but some unknown brake component, or well no need to mention...

Nevermind serves me right for getting halfway though the thread and not being able to hold my tounge...

xero - November 3, 2009 08:32 AM (GMT)
Silver with black capillaries FTW! B)

mikeyde - November 3, 2009 08:42 AM (GMT)
Capillaries it is then :D

alimac - November 3, 2009 08:45 AM (GMT)
calipers = brakes

capillaries = blood vessels

mikeyde - November 3, 2009 08:50 AM (GMT)
Maybe green calipers because veins appear kinda green through skin and capillaries are like veins, just smaller :)

Probably not the first to think this but ...ironic how the word "NAVAL" has been printed on an aircraft.

It's a maritime patrol aircraft operated by the Chilean Navy so yeah...

I had a similar problem deciding between black and light grey/silver.

So I painted one front and one rear each black and silver and lived with it for a weekend while deciding.

Black looks good but the inner parts of the wheels just disappear. In the end I went for a light 'machinery' grey which looks good as the calipers stand out and it covers the parts of the disc that go rusty and look really rude.

The car is silver as well so everything matches which helps.

Thats my 2 cents, if its helpful.
