It was a Sunday afternoon, and Regina was chilling in her kitchen with a martini. Not strong of course, but it wasn't as if her mother would have minded if it was. She had her cell phone in her hadn, and as it went of she read the text message that she had recieved from Gretchen. She raised an eyebrow to herself. If Gretchen wanted to hang out, then why didn't she do something about it? But she spoke to soon, and the doorbell went of loudly around her. She got up off the barstool and left her kitchen to go and answer the door.
Taking the handle and pulling it towards her, she gave Gretchen a smile before stepping to one side so her friend could come in. Looked like Gretch was going to do something about it after all. She shut the door behind her and went back into the kitchen, without saying a word to Gretchen, but Regina knew she would follow anyway. "About time you came around" Regina said, sitting back down on the stool and taking a sip of her martini.
Regina shrugged. "Just lazing about the house" she told her friend, which was true. She hadn't really been up to much at all. She had been up early, taken a shower, and then literally done nothing. She had been waiting on Gretchen of Karen to call her all day, and now Gretchen was here, even though she wasn't going to show it, she was actually quite relieved.
When Gretchen put the drink in front of her, Regina picked it up and took a sip. She kept it in her mouth for a while to taste it, before swallowing it, and passing the glass back to Gretchen. "Mhm" she said, tilting her head to one side. "Not as nice as mine" she said, winking at her friend and pushing her glass across the counter for Gretchen to taste it.
