As well as the traditional "make-up-your-own-character-as-you-see-fit-with-no-non-NPC-family" Mint really wants to make things more... uh... realistic? Anyways, it would be both awkward and boring to RP as numerous members of the same family by one-self, so Mint has decided that (If you want), in your character profile post, you can put down your family members, and indicate which ones you would not mind having another member RP (no you do not need to go into another profile for said family, one to two sentences will be more than enough), so interested members can contact you via PM ^_^, if no one takes up on your offer then just leave him/her as a NPC, who knows, one day the right person will pop up!

alternatively, if you don't mind the wait, before you even post your character profile, arrange with other people to collaborate on a family tree of sorts, you can either do this via PM, or if you're too shy, you can request at this topic

If you would like a second/third... character then PLEASE make sure you PM me or a global mod about it BEFORE making that post. ^_^ generally I'd okay it, but if I think that you haven't been active enough... then maybe I'll ask you to wait, but anyway, PM me your character profile if you are requesting extra characters. You start with ONE character!

Also, we'd really like people to do the family-tree thing, SO, if you really want to start with two characters to play around with, one of them MUST be the family member to another character. ^_^

Mint Village is a rather established, nice village, so it would be natural that some of the characters have lived here all their lives, and therefore have houses/money/land/animals and so forth. Once again, if your character fits the description, then please PM me with the relevant information so I can double check to make sure that you are not starting with say 1,000,000G ^_^

Set up a post in the Character Profile board as follows:

Topic Title: {first name} {middle name if applicable} {family name}
Topic Description: may leave blank, or include gender and age ONLY

the contents of your profile will not have as rigid a format, like all RPG profiles, this is only a guide, and you may choose to take out what you don't need, and add any relevant information as you see fit.

Background/History: How you came to be at Mint Village

Appearace: What you look like

Major RP events: Use this to keep track of the major events in your character's life, a list will be fine, but you may write them up as entries into your journal if that's what you prefer. Journal entries can be posted as replies to your character profile post.

Money: start with 2000G if you are a character new in town (village), any other amounts above, PM me along with the story behind it just to check ^_^

Items: List all the items that you have. You may start with 3 items

Family: indicate whether or not they are NPCs, or if they are open for people to take ^_^

If you do get married and have kids, you might also want to advertise for someone else to RP the kid (or, if you really want, one of you could do it ^_^) Details on marriage and wooing can be found in the relavent topic.
