Farms will come in the form of a sub-forum, so whoever the farm owner is will be made moderator of that forum (and one other person by request of the owner)
A farm has the potential for:
80 plots

2 ponds
2 houses
1 shop
and any other special add-ons that you would like to have (arrange through a meeting with

For upgrades on the house check the Houses reply just below.
Upgrades marked with a *star* will be auto-matic! that is, you simply pay at the Town Hall, and then "poof!" your upgrade has been completed!
Housing
Houses can only be built on Basil Ave. To apply for housing, just fill in the appropriate form, and your house will be built automatically!
A house sells for 200G. When you buy a house, it is at level 1, this means that there are only two rooms. You determine the function of the room by purchasing "room-packs" from the local furniture shop. These packs will contain everything you'll need to furnish a certain room.
Upgrade prices are as follows:
1 room: 150G* (automatic)
Extra floor: 500G
Balcony: 200G
There is to be a maximum of six rooms on each floor, and a maximum of 3 floors.
You may rent a house if you'd like: there are a few standard 6-room houses available, rent is 400G per month, and you may share the house with 3 other flatmates maximum. If you decide to buy after renting for more than 3 months, then the 6-room house will only be 500G. (note: you may not upgrade a rented house)
Shops
Shops will be 2000G each. If you would like to open a shop, you must make an appointment with Alex, in the Town Hall, and, present your case in 150 words or less. If the Alex (ie me ^_^) likes your idea, then you will be given permission to open the shop.
Each shop will start at level 1 with 2 rooms: storage room, and the shop, you may upgrade the size of the shop:
1000G per level* (automatically upgraded)
with the maximum been level 4.
level 1: may sell a maximum of 4 items
level 2: may sell a maximum of 8 items
level 3: may sell a maximum of 20 items
level 4: may sell a maximum of 50 items
If you open up a carpenter's shop, then you will be in charge of building ALL the non-automatic upgrades, so please make sure you are an active member if that is what you are planning to do.
Working
You may work at a farm, or a shop. For detail on payment etc, please discuss the details with the shopkeepe/ranchmaster. I would recomment a starting wage of 150G per week. ^_^
There is also foraging and fishing on the side if you would like to make some extra cash:
Fishing
To fish you must have a fishing rod or net.
Fishing rods are 1000G each, and nets are 5000G each.
You are allowed to fish 5 times a day. When you want to fish, just flip two coins to determine the type. If you have a net, you catch 3 fish each time you 'fish' successfully. Once you've determined the type, flip another coin, if it is heads, then you've caught the fish, if it is tails, then the fish managed to free itself
Below contains information in the following order: the combination for obtaining the fish, possible location, price for selling. The order of the combination is not relevant.
small fish
t/h, ponds, lakes, river, beach, 30G
medium fish
t/t, lakes, rivers, beach, 100G
large fish
h/h, lakes, beach, 150G
rare fish
can only be caught on the 5th of Autumn at the lake. One this day, flip 4 coins, if you get all heads, then you catch the star-struck-eyed yellow polkadotted purple fish which is worth 600G, if you get all tails, then you catch the zebra-striped green finned pink fish which is worth 480G.
To fish legally in Orange village, you must have a fishing license. These can be purchased at the Town Hall.
1 season licence (allows you to fish for the season): 500G
1 year licence: 1200G
permanent licence: 5000G
If you are found to be fishing without a license, or fish over 5 times a day, then you will be fined 10000G.
