Background/History: When she was 14, her house caught on fire when she was with her friend. Her whole family was in it, except her grandfather who lived in Mint Village. She was devistated and ran to Mint Village without even going to the wreckage. Kairi now lives with her grandfather in Mint Village.

"There was a fire today. Not like the one Roti's family went through; it was worse. My whole family died, even little Tack. I miss them so much. If only I never went to Kana's house. I could have saved them. We would all be alright."

"I'm at grandpa's house now. He says I can live with him at his farm."
Spring 12 (When she was 15)
"I still miss my family. I wish they were here."
Summer 14
"Grandpa is really sick and the doctor says he might not live much longer. Oh I hope he doesn't die, he is all I have left."

"Grandpa is getting better now. I still have to take care of the farm though."
Winter 17 (When she was 16)
"Grandpa is good now. He actually got out of bed today and walked around. I am happy for him, but it just makes me think of how Tack had just learned to walk three days before the fire. I think the fire was my fault. I wasn't there to save them."

"This year is going by slow. Nothing much is happening."

"I am 17 now. Granfather says he is feelling better than ever now, yet I see that he is weaker than ever. He can barely eat his food and I am working the farm on my own again. I insist he stays in bed."
