Title: Shadow Wolves Catch-up.
ralf peters - February 22, 2006 07:33 PM (GMT)
Well, it has been a while since Shadow Wolves were a fully function clan, or even existed. I am very glad that the forums have been re-opened though. I have made this topic in the vain hope that some of the old Shadow Wolves will read it. This is really just to let everyone know what you have been up to since the break in June/July of last year. I have not really been playing RS at all as it really isn't that fun without a clan. Every weekend I used to go on knowing that there would be a clan event in the evening and I could prepare for that, and do a few quests and training at the same, whereas without the clan the general training and playing of Runescape got a bit boring. I did return to RS for a short period and join another clan, but it was terrible, nothing like SW, so I quit after a few weeks after not really going to many events, and stopped going on RS again. I have been checking these forums to see if they re-open from time to time though, and yesterday I was pleasently surprised when I found they were up! I would be interested to see if any of the old Shadow Wolves are around, so please post a short reply if you are reading this. I peronally would strongly consider making a full return to Runescape if SW restarted properly. *hint hint Vibu* :P . Well that's it from me, I will no doubt be checking these forums now I know they are here. Good luck to you Vibu if you do decide to restart the clan, if you need a hand I will be here ready to help out, despite my current lack of presence on RS.
~ Ralf.

Mestd up kid - February 25, 2006 03:49 PM (GMT)
= ))) me here. I'll be here just pm me on Mestd up kid whenever. Also you guys can stop by my clans chat #Fatepowerclan. I will be very pleasant to see you guys. If i'm not there just say you're from SW and friend of Mestd ;).
If you guys are wonderin where my character is in look him up. You'll be surprised at wut you'll see. I'm happy to say i'm no longer the lvl 71 that tagged along haha
I've seen:
King maxx
Rayblade (in another clan i beleive )
Litchking
active lately.
limetang - February 25, 2006 08:44 PM (GMT)
I appear to have taken a very different route from you three. Since the break-up I've been more active on RSC, started programming and started playing RuneScape again on an old clan account. So now I'm the level 55 who tags along to take up Mestd up kid's position as clan noob. ;-)
ralf peters - March 5, 2006 09:25 AM (GMT)
It's cool to see that you guys are still around, the old SW is still here, even if it is in bits scattered across Runescape right now. It is promising however to see that there is the possiblity of having quite a number of members back into SW that were here originally. Those of you who are active on Runescape at the moment why not spread the word to other old SWers to check out these forums every once in a while.
~ Ralf.
Mestd up kid - March 10, 2006 02:48 AM (GMT)
I stayed around cuz i've always wanted to be a part of something old haha. Like i've read about other clans history and stuff and i wanna be 1 of those dudes that started it up.
Guest - March 13, 2006 04:26 PM (GMT)
I gotta double post this....
When we gonna start ? Because my clan was dieing slowly and they merged with Shadow Elves. For some reason it feels like Fate just died and join SE...so ya i dunno about high ranks. Cuz none of my leaders have any power they're just normal members. Most of it is based on friendship and i only know half of them. So ya i'm tryin to drop them really quick.

Vibu mentioned a restart in the summer, so hopefully around then we can get moving. I think this is a probably a good idea as many people are busy this time of year, but the summer is a whole lot more relaxed. After all, we want a good restart, and not some haphazard operation that is whacked together now.
:-D Ralf.

Hello again. This is just a quick message. If anyone still has a copy of that Runescape film I made last year for the film competition then please could you send me a copy as I lost my original copy and I would rather like to see it again. Thank you.
Ralf.

ralf peters - April 29, 2006 08:44 PM (GMT)
Wooo! Hey pt. Good to see you are still about. Looking at the list of posters now, we do have a good amount of SWers around. There is hope yet. :-)

Paladin
The Paladin rank is the highest of the field ranks. They have shown complete loyalty toward the nation. They have shown experience within game play and are always willing to provide tips and demonstrate for. They carry the law within their soul and always remind the ones in need , they carry the word of the nation and spread it throughout the world. Their main objective is to train the lower ranks for future battle, to be a mentor to all lower ranks and help them achieve higher skill.
Templar Knight
The Templar Knight will defend all high ranks with the strength of the Nation. There is no limit to how many can be in this rank. They have strong loyalty, have shown remarkable abilities in hand to hand combat, weaponry, and have acquired great knowledge across the land and will kill at the command of any high rank. Master Sergeants/Templar Knights can make limited decisions in clan battles and direction, however Game Leaders will have final approval. They cannot however promote or expel a member. Choose members that are online during the times that they are whenever possible. There prime objective is to use them to protect the foundation of Warrior Nation.
Dark Knight
The Dark Knight has shown to be even more powerful in offensive and defensive measures. There is no limit to how many can be in this rank. They are not only are successful in battle but have shown great loyalty among the nation. They are successful in leading small teams and coordinating strategic plans.
Promoted to this rank based on performance, activity, teamwork, and contribution, subject to the terms the Game Leader in charge puts forth.
Teutonic Knight
The Teutonic Knight shows greater strength and participation in the clan. There is no limit to how many can be in this rank. They search out battles, successfully defeat other opponents, come to the need of other members. They can also suggest members with the approval of the game leaders. They bring new strategies and are in constant communication with the members.
Knight
They engage in battle and work with the teams as much as possible. They are the strength on the field in numbers and in marksmanship. They have proven they can take orders and follow through. They are strong in many various weapons.
• There is no limit to how many can be within this rank.
Minimum Requirements
• You will remain a Knight until you have gone through a successful signing of a monthly rollcall since last promotion or transfer and have a minimum of 50 posts in the forum.
Squire
The grunts of the Nation. New members will start their membership in this class. They are on a trial period, therefore have no clan privileges and may not recruit new members until they have completed their trial period. They are not allowed to recruit new members without the specific approval of the members in charge.
• There is no limit to how many can be within this rank.
Trial Period:
• You will remain in this rank until you have gone through a successful signing of a monthly rollcall. So trial can vary from 1-31 days depending on when you became a member.
• This rank also consists of those that do not sign rollcall. If you fail to sign a rollcall 2 times you are immediately dropped to this rank regardless of previous rank and must successfully complete another rollcall to move back up. Failure to respond to 3 rollcalls in a row will remove you from the roster completely.
(New members who have joined within a few days of rollcall summaries may petition with the "I'm new" and "Didn't know" clauses.)
some ideas :drunk:
pt12 - April 30, 2006 05:17 PM (GMT)
Ideas are wonderfull I beleive a lot of things can be complimented but dont forget one of the problems and complaints before were "to many and cunfusing ranks"
ralf peters - April 30, 2006 05:34 PM (GMT)
I think it would be a lot better if discretion was used as to what ranks are given, as a pose to strict rules. Again, I think there are too many ranks. However they are ideas, which are great whatever they are, as it means there is a future for SW!
I will also have a bit of a think and suggest some ideas of my own, but right now I am a tad tired.
Ralf.

Doom Blade1
pt12 - April 30, 2006 10:33 PM (GMT)
Id help you out doom but i never got admin cp on here so yea. Anyways as for the ranks I think leaders, council, pk leader, elite members, and members should work just great. Maybe spice them up with a cool name but this would work the best.
Guest - May 1, 2006 12:47 AM (GMT)
Yep, maybe a basic recruit "rank" for those registered souls still not in.
ralf peters - May 1, 2006 10:39 AM (GMT)
I agree with pt as far as the ranks go. I think it is important to keep a seperate set of ranks as it were for pking, and then general rank within the clan. Below I have written a summary of how I think these ranks should work:
Vibu is the leader, obviously, then the council, as before, are the next in line in the clan, followed by elite members, who are basically the people who have shown themselves to be trustworthy clan members and come along to events etc. Then the basic members are those newer members still to prove themselves as proper SWers. The council would be responsible for selecting basic members to move into the elite member rank every 2 weeks or so. Then seperate to that, out of the elite members or council, pk leaders are selected to lead pking. These would be high level combat players who know pking well.
That is how I think the ranks should work, there are not too many, but there are enough in my opinion. They are quite similar to the old ranks, except they are simpler, and pk leaders are taken seperately out of the main ranking system, so that the best pkers can be selected to lead pking without complicating other ranks.
Ralf.
pt12 - May 1, 2006 08:22 PM (GMT)
Said pretty much right on... Just want to add that the council has a lot of power. They pretty much determine all of the votes, regs, rules, suggestions, and etc. The only thing the leaders really have over them is control of the forums, bans, indepth desicions, maybe wars also i think the council can vote on wars to pursuade the leaders desicion, and anyways the only thing leaders have over the council are the obvious. Also for another rank i think a recruit officer would be a good idea. This one will need some tweeks to get it straight but its an important rank in my opinon.
As for placements in ranking i agree i think us three will be very important to the future of sw and i beleive Vibu and I stay leaders and ralf is deff at the top of the members soon to be in council
BTW Ralf i reduced your warn level because i was bored lol. And your sig made me laugh lol.
Guest - May 3, 2006 04:46 PM (GMT)
What exactly is a warn level? Is it something to do with "karma"?
As a small side note, I plan to renew my RS membership and get back on for good soon, sometime within the next week or two, although I am unlikely to be very active until mid - June, due to other commitments.
Also if we are going to start setting up the clan properly and sort out rankings and the like, maybe we should move into a password protected board. Not that it matters too much, but as we get deeper into the admin, it would make sense to have everything in one place.
Ralf.
ralf peters - May 3, 2006 04:47 PM (GMT)
Lol, that was me by the way. Another advantage of moving into password protected boards is the prevention of accidental guest posting like that. :$
pt12 - May 4, 2006 08:19 PM (GMT)
yea i agree and i have thought about that so yea
ralf peters - May 5, 2006 04:25 PM (GMT)
Ok, how about whacking it in the council hall? Though I think we should leave this topic open here for people to see, and start a new one in the council hall.
Vibu212 - May 11, 2006 11:28 PM (GMT)
How about the ranks I posted above? They are just for formality. We can define what to get out of them...such as knights are the general pkers and those who don't like pking...can just be in another catagory etc.
Leader/Leaders
Council
Pk Leaders
Pkers
Another Section
The Fun loving people/Event Goers/Party Goers
Now these do need some formal names and of course which one do what stuff...
These are my ideas proposed from what you guys are talking.
Council is like dealing with other clans, rules, decisions etc
If a council vote on a war for example...then its upto pk leaders to discuss and go on from there.
Another Department like Events/Skill Raising stuff+training together can go under another leader.
From what I am thinking...2 leaders...
Me for pking
Another for the other departments [however his/her input can be put into other discussions too]
Council - Wont be necessarily good pkers/event makers but good advisors needed here. People from older SW will be given priority here.
Then the list goes
ralf peters - May 30, 2006 02:25 PM (GMT)
Hey. Just letting you guys know I am still about, I have not had chance to get back into Runescape yet, but I still plan to. This is a just a quick message and I really need to leave the house right now.
Ralf, :-)
limetang - June 4, 2006 08:38 PM (GMT)
Oh, and the second oldest remaining member is still here (Wow, feels weird to say that :(), with you till the end, Vibu!
We really need to make sure we stay a clan this time and not just a group of friends. Although the old Shadow Wolves spirit should remain, we need to also improve the clan at the same time.
Seems weird to be coming up to two years and one year after disbanding. :(
ralf peters - June 6, 2006 10:40 AM (GMT)
Hey limetang! Good to see you around. Thanks for the warn message, I have little idea how the warn system works but it seems to be a nice way to leave messages to people. Very confusing. It has been a year since we disbanded? I suppose you are right, it doesn't seem like anywhere near as long though. Anyway, once I again I need to get going, so tarra for now.
Ralf, :-D
Vibu212 - June 6, 2006 06:43 PM (GMT)
As I get a job I would be putting more time here.
My plans is to start up as a little "chatting fun place" with fun events and lvl 20 pking in F2P...

ralf peters - June 8, 2006 05:47 PM (GMT)
Hey Rayblade, another SWer back on the forums, we are accumulating quite a group now.
World 111 hoaxes? What are world 111 hoaxes? Is this some kind of crazy new bug? Sounds exciting. Will someone active on RS please explain what they are?
A confused Ralf. :-)
EDIT: We must be close approaching a year since SW officially disbanded.

Wow. This is RS history. You cannot write stuff like this. Allthough Jagex are angry and embarassed about this incident, think of the publicity it will get Runescape, better than any advertising campaign. Could it have even been a planned publicity stunt? Who knows? I really really want to get back into RS right now, allthough I have no credit on my phone, and so I cannot upgrade my account to members, and to use it properly on f2p world would mean dropping half my items. I will be back soon!!
ralf peters - June 10, 2006 09:54 PM (GMT)
Wow, look at the cool little winking guy in my signature. Where did he come from? Who knows? I certainly didn't put him there. Tis a mystery. :-P
