-When Haruko sleeps, she subconsciously generates nightmares that affect most beings of more than average spirit energy who are sleeping nearby. When awake, all and any nightmares that people who have high potential for outward spirit energy are having within a one-block run in the back of her mind. It isn't incapacitating for her, especially since she isn't always in the viscinity of someone who has much spiritual energy, but it can become rather disturbing if she has nothing else to do. Note that she is aware of others' nightmares but not of the ones she creates, and that she is not aware of the fact that it is specifically those with increased spirit energy whose nightmares she has in the back of her mind. She is not fully aware that there are any others like her.
-Haruko has the ability to warp physics a little bit, meaning that she can sort of "bend" the rules of how things in the world should work. For example, if she wanted to, she could make a juggling ball fall into her hand regardless of the angle without having to move her hand, which makes for being able to do more juggling tricks. Or, she could lean farther off something without falling by using her mind to keep her body in place, or she could use her mind's power to catch herself when falling, if she had enough time to do so. Unfortunately, this power isn't reflexive, and therefore doesn't always come in time, especially if what she is affecting is something rather bigger, like her body or someone else's, or a big rock, etc.
[Extra:] Something to know about this young woman is that while Haruko grew up fully aware of what she could and couldn't do with her body (despite what some people seemed to think) she hasn't the slightest clue how to gauge what her mind is capable of. She just tries whatever she feels like without thinking about the effect it could have on her mind.
[First Appearance:] Haruko's first ability came slowly; on particularly stressed days she would hear things that she could barely make out somewhere in the back of her mind. She would shrug it off and continue with her day. But then gradually, in times of emotional disturbance, it would get louder, or images would flash by. Then, for some reason, it stopped being connected to her mood at all (or maybe it never was--false diagnosis perhaps.) At seemingly random occurences Haruko would start seeing two things at once: whatever was in front of her, and somebody's nightmare. Then, it almost stopped going away, because whatever was causing it {the presence of spiritually powerful beings, but she didn't know that} must have been there more and more often until it was just a steady stream of toned-down images and sounds in the back of her mind, at this point only noticed by Haruko when she is not otherwise occupied.
Jester didn't really notice at first when she started being able to do things without acutally doing them. But then, over time, when she acutally stopped dropping juggling balls ever (which is practically impossible to never drop something), she started experimenting with consciously manipulating things with her mind. She practiced leaning over curbs at ridiculous angles at night when there was no one around, among other things. She's still honing her abilities.
