Okay guys, I just finished reading this MEGA-AWESOME book of magical wonderful awesomeness.

Anyone here ever read Battle Royale?

It's set in the future in Japan, with this authoritarian government and rock 'n' roll's outlawed and everything's all crazy, and every couple years a ninth grade class gets picked to do this Program where they all have to kill each other until only one is left, then the "winner" gets to start their life again.

Yes, they make sure you can't

-just not kill anyone and the whole class survives. 24 hours, no one dies, they blow off everyone's heads with collars they attach to the kids necks

-escape the island. the collar monitors pulse, location, etc.

It's a really good book, and I was thinking about making a roleplay site based off of it. I was just posting this to see if anyone here would be interested in getting in on this with me. I would need a graphic designer, as I'm hopeless with that kind of thing. My knowledge of BBcode and suchlike extends only to fonts and alignments. But I think it would be a hit. Even people who hadn't read the book could participate if we explained it right. Of course, we'd probably have to put up a huge spoiler warning and all that.

But what do you guys think?

What is it you mean by starting your life over again? There are a lot of things that could imply.

Oh, that. Didn't mean to make it sound all weird. But basically the winner gets relocated to another area after being broadcast as the winner of their old area's news. They get some kind of pention till they're old enough to get a job or something.

I think there are like five other forums based on the series. However, you have to think that everyone is just going to die seeing how only one person can win. O.o

Thats no entirely true, the collars go off ectect. but that dosen't mean they can't escape. The "battle Royal" can be placed with the soldiers that try and and kill them. They make operations and such, and what happens is that say, a group of kids get to the place where the collars are activated, they can hold out there, while the other kids get the guns and such, and then you have this... "battle royal" to save everyone instead of having one winner, so... not nessisarily will everyone die, everyone could live if that was the way it happened.

I've never read the book, and i don't know if that's possible, but yeah... thats my opinion on it, sounds fun if you ask me. an class of say 40 ninth graders would be fun to hold out with and work with eachother to get to a goal opbjective of escape.

I think it'd be interesting, and i know a little bit about coding, and im pretty good with UBBCode. ^-^ but yeah... sounds like a cool idea, i'd join in.
