Tall and slightly on the muscular side, Tähti [x] might be what one may call handsome. However, don't get your hopes up; he isn't as interested in girls as much as you may think.
The surfer's facial features seem somewhat "normal", if there was one word for it. His visage is sharp, but not exactly mean looking. Tähti's jaw, which is angled sharply to join with his neck, portrays that feature.
Displaying a mop-like clump of blonde surfer hair [[x] [x]], Tähti occasionally brushes stray ends aside. It has natural streaks of hazel-brown highlighted in it.
His seemingly bleached teeth are a pearly white, and nearly perfectly aligned. When he grins, which he does so very rarely, they flash slightly in the sunlight, a good addition to his blonde hair.
At the height of 6'2", Tähti has a slightly larger than medium sized frame, weighing approximately 172 lbs. Slight muscles show, but overall, Tähti doesn't appear overly muscular or too scrawny.
Being born from a Guardian and a human, Tähti has the heightened speed and agility passed down from his mother's genetics. When needed, he can heal himself somewhat, thanks to the proper tuition from his guardian mother.

× Surfing» Tähti's absolute favorite thing to do, no matter what. At every moment possible, this is what he does.
× The ocean» Would it be possible for Tähti to surf without this?
× Early mornings» Getting up early, at around 4:30 or so, appeals to Tähti, for some very odd reason. It may be because he's more refreshed then, if he went to sleep at a proper time, or maybe just because he can grab his board and head down the road to the beach, and get a bit of rough riding then, when all is calm and no one else is out and about.

× Snowboarding» Close enough to surfing to appreciate this, especially in the colder winter days.
× Windsurfing» Although this isn't as good as the real thing in Tähti's mind, he still likes to, occasionally, take a ride with his Freestyle board and gear, when the waves just aren't good enough for surfing.
× Sharks» As a surfer, the tendency to be afraid of sharks is something unknown to Tähti. He's never really been afraid of the massive [sometimes] aquatic creatures that have been aid to dwell solely upon human flesh, though he knows better. If it were possible, he would rather surf with the creatures of the sea, simply because they chase away amateurs who know nothing about the art of surfing.

× Wanna-be surfers» The reason why Tähti loathes these so called "surfers" is simply because of the fact that they aren't - just people who wish they were, but don't have the guts to get out there and actually try it.

× Video games» Whether this fact is unfortunate or fortunate, the situation is just this: Tähti hates video games. Period. Maybe its just because he knows how to surf, and professionally, which is something that most teens his age can't do. And most likely wish they could, which is the reason they play video games.
× Show-off surfers» These in particular bug Tähti very much, just because he believes that surfing is a sport that one should enjoy, not something that one should use to attract girls or members of the opposite gender. He surfs only for the pure excitement and joy that comes from it.

This surfer tends to be on the quiet side, and avoids speaking as much as possible. It may be due to his history, but who knows?
If Tähti ever figured out how to become an Awakened - or somehow becomes Awakened, then he wouldn't use his, well, lets just say abilities, to help him surf. He rather thinks that anyone who does that is 1] lame, and 2] cheating.

It all began on a certain evening in Santa Cruz, California.
She was a Guardian.
He was an Awakened.
Toivo Kaiku, Tähti's father, was a surfer by profession. The man was calm, yet had the surfer attitude that is a surfer's main stereotype; saying things like "dude", "rad" "totally man", and such. It's almost enough to make one embarrassed of their old-fashioned dad; however, Tovio wasn't a father - yet.
One could expect the usual story - Esteri Kaija was out, searching for any sign of demons or Awakeneds that proved to be a critical danger to the humans, on the coast of Santa Cruz. At that moment, she caught sight of a surfer about the same age she would be if she were still human, and immediately fell in love "at first sight".
At that moment, she already knew that he was an awakened, and a decent one at that. Toico was not only an Awakened, but also strong, handsome, and a surfer.
