Title: Casual Evening
Description: Open
Jason Sharp - March 23, 2008 11:25 PM (GMT)
Jason Sharp, a trained guardian within Santa Cruz, and so far the only one he's met since his mentor, Rotsuchie. She had trained him all she new, and despite her old age, she was incredible with the large sword she carried. Dying only a month ago, and passed on her sword to him. It was a large broad sword a good five feet long, and a foot long handle. It was dismantable, and really a large sword with multible attachemtns of five other blades tat all connected to the main one. The blade was on the back part of his belt, and only the first foot of the blade was hidden inside the dual open ended sheathe; the rest hanging out hte bottom, almost touching hte ground. The foot long handle stuck up fom the other end and came out to his side at the same angle of the blade.
You'd think a sword like that would weigh him down, but with the rigorious training he has undergone, he's become an expert with the large blade. He could take it apart blindfolded, and put it back together. He could move it at speeds humans couldn't dare to attempt. He was fast, strong, and healthy. At the age of twenty-five, he's got a great amount of youth still in him and he dosen't age. Dead to everyone around him but his sister, he protects the innocent from those around him, especially from the spirits that roam around causing trouble. He was one of the few who could.
Wearing a set of personalized Royal Guard armor, he look lean and fit. Hais hair was a bright blond color, and his eyes a light blue with a set of tealish rings within them. Around his neck was a scarf that covered the top part of his shoulders and all of his neck. It came up to his chin in height, and dropped down his back to the back of his knees. His clothing, dark and torn in some places, covers all of his body but his arms and face. His chest was covered by a dark tight black shirt, with a solid leather strap running from the top, and over his shoulder to help support the sheath on the back of his belt. His arms were bare, expect for his left shoulder and upper arm. His shoulder was covered by a steel metal plate, and then stopped as it went to his biceps which were covered by steel rings that wrapped around them until an inch above his elbow. His hands were wrapped in a thin black leather fabric. His the cloth on his left hand only comes to his wrist, and is covered by two inches of cog like wrist bands that come an inch off his hand. His right hand has the black leather that comes almost to his elbows, but not quite. A leather plate runs over the top of it, and over the top of his hand, his wrist wrapped in a think rope two three times and knotted on the right side of his hand, palm facing down.
His pants were made of the same color of his tight shirt, but they were loose, and tucked into his black boots that were on his feet. His waist, covered in a layer of belts and straps that held up the black sheathe on his back, was made of a think brown leather, and his right side had a steel plate that covered most of his right thigh.
He had a secret pair of pistols that had the handles exposed on his back. The handles sticking up were the only part revealed of the grey steeled guns. They were placed under the sheathe and between him and his sword. Hidden on his back, also under neath the sheathe were the three pairs of magazines for his pistols, all holding fifteen rounds a piece. He rarely used them unless needed, the rounds were ten milimeter, and heavy impact, lethal against flesh, but expensive. They also have a small incendary component that allowed him to have a bigger effect on explosives with the handguns.
--
He moved along the sidewalk, evadeing the people that couldn't see him. He just walked on, eyes slanted and keen as he looked around, his eyes open for people that were causing problems. Thats his day, saving the innocent, and keep track of bad guys. Not exactly the funnest job, but he figured saving a life would be worth it in the end, he wished he'd get paid for it, atleast the Royal Guard did when he was in it fighting for those around him.
Stepping past person after person he kept his mind open with thought, thats all he could ever do really while he was off like this. His sister was hanging out at the school, and he couldn't stay with her, she insited, despite what he thought. She wanted him to get out for once and walk around town. He guessed she didn't liked being watched over so much. Sighing, he continued. As if you have anything else to do, he thought to himself as he moved on, almost bumping into a young male that was talking on his cell phone. He was dressed in a suit, must have been a business man.
He was supposed to relax, take a break, he had an eternity left of his life, he didn't need to get worked up about time spans. Just calm down, take a break, relax, and watch the crowd pass by, he thought to himself once more. He remembered somehting his old mentor always said, "Get lost in the flow of fate, let it take you where you need and you'll be led to the places your needed." He hadn't quite understood all of it, but he was slowly learning what some of her wise phrases that she'd say to him during training. Follow the flow, follow the flow, he thought, [/i] just follow the flow, where ever the[/i] flow was. he thought as he continued on, moving outside the crowd now.

Rory looked at her watch and cringed, she had thought that taking a walk would make time move faster. But in reality it had only been a couple of hours since she had dropped her young Angel off at Nate and Cindy's house. The little girl was going to go with them to Cindy's parent's house in Arizona. It was only a week, but it aready felt like days. She hated when Angel was away, but this was Nate and Cindy, her little girl would be fine. She'd just keep the bar open a few hours longer and take a whole lot more walks...everything would be fine. She looked down at her watch again. WHAT!? IT HAD ONLY BEEN 5 MINUTES? How could this be happening?
Letting out a frustrated sigh she picked up the pace. Her long brown hair fluttered around her shoulders in a mass of waves and curls. She kept it down today mostly at the request of her daughter. Angel had always loved it down, as a baby she would bury her face in it. This was a habit she has kept for the last six years. Tears almost burned Rory's eyes as she thought back to Angel petting her hair this morning, insisting on brushing it before they left. This was pathetic, what was she going to do when Angel went off to college? Then again maybe she would be stronger by then. She lt out a sigh, their little apartment was going to be way to quiet with out Angel's shrill cries of delight when ever something ordinary happened. Her little November Angel could find joy in just about anything.
rory just kept walking afraid that at any second her tears would be impossible to stop. What was she going to do?

Jason was walking down the street still. Nothing seemed to interest him, and nothing was very out of the ordinary. Nothing was tormenting, and nothing was causing trouble. He sighed softly as he dodged people, and moved along the sidewalk, and down the path. Cars were passing by quickly, and no one seemd to really know what happened around them that they couldn't see. They just went about there lives, no reward for saving them, yet... he felt it was his duty to do it, to protect them. They couldn't protect themselves, so they needed people like him to fight for there lives. Heroism is over-rated, a human life is priceless. Don't fight to be a hero, fight to make a difference for the good.
Jason kept walking, his thoughts in his head about heroism, that he spotted a women up ahead and she was about to busrt into tears. Behind her a demon moved with grace in the air, as it glided above her head, ready to strike. He had no idea why it was there, but tormenting a hurting human, that is uncalled for. Moving forward, he stepped up onto a mailbox so lightly, that it made no noise, and no movement. He leaped off, and landed ontop of the roof of the building, and he waved to the demon with his hand, but it ignored him, like he knew it would. With that, he pulled out two handguns and aimed them at the demon. It caught glimpse of it, then whined as Jason opened fired with the pistols. Bullets filled the air, and the demon was pelted with them. Blood spurted from its body with each impact, and within moments, it fell to the ground, desentigrating into nothingness as it hit the ground. Humph, foul creatures, he thought as he began holstering his pistols. He was a gaurdian, so no one else could hear or see him, unless they had eyes to do it, but he didn't expect anyone nearby to have them.

Aurora was happily wallowing in self pity. Ok she wasn't happy about it but she may as well be. She felt like something was just sucking all the happiness she might have felt right out of her. In other words it made a sucky day even worse. For a moment she wondered if her a mother ever missed her and Nate this much then immedietly felt bad that it had been a while since her last visit. She really should insist that mama come and live wither, but she knew how much she loved Casper. She shoved her hands in her pockets and shuddered a bit. It felt like there were these eys watching her. She looked around curiously but didn't see anything. Just a shadow that seemed to be lurking there, probably from something she just wasnt see. Maybe a flag on one of the buildings.
Rorry turned around and kept walking but the feeling was still there. Suddenly she jumped, she thought she heard a gun shot. Her whole body went rigid and it felt as though all her worries and pains had just been scared away with the shot. She looked around puzzled but no one else seemed to hear anything. Was she really starting to loose her mind or what? She made the sign of the cross like the good catholic woman she was, but her eyes were still seaching for the cause of the shot.
She thought she saw a man putting a way a gun but it was so faint that she didn't know if it was a dream or reality. Lately she had been having such wierd dreams, dreams about being superhero and saving people. Sometimes she would open her eyes and she would look differnt in the mirror. When ever she would look back once again she'd look exactly like she always did. Something strange was going on in her life and she didn't like it.
Jason Sharp - April 12, 2008 11:47 PM (GMT)
Jason watched the deamon dissapear, and fall away from vision. He moved to the edge of the building and thought he saw a women looking at him, but he figured it was something behind him. Leaning over the edge, he pushed off, and fell toward the ground, feet first.
He glided toward the ground, the wind rushing through his body. His hair pulled upward a bit, and hte cloak he had on flew upward and pulled above him, not falling as fast as he was. His clothing was the same way. He sped toward the ground, and landed, bending his knees and crouching to let it impact the fall. Standing up slowly, he stretched. He had just jumped off a building that would break someones legs instantly, and kill them for sure, but he was fine. He looked toward the girl he thought was looking at him, If she could see me, there was no way she missed that, he thought, knowing that if anyone had seen him, they knew he wasn't human now.
Aurora Harper - April 15, 2008 10:55 PM (GMT)
it's a dream. It's a dream. It's a dream. Any moment she would wake up and it would be time to take her little Angel to Nate's. All thoughts were swept away when she saw the ghost man jump and land on the ground. He was still so faint that she had to practically squint to see him. He seemed to flicker in and out, in and out. When she was little she thought she saw ghosts much like this man before her, but her mother always told her it wasn't real. Now she wasn't so sure. Lately it was like there was this strange power welling up inside her and eventually it would take over her whole body. Such strange dreams, fighting with a great sword and now this. Maybe she was going insane.
Rory knew her mouth was hanging open and her face was full of shock. People all around her were giving a strange look as they walked by but she didn't pay attention. She didn't care what they thouhgt, her eyes remained on the man.
Jason Sharp - April 18, 2008 12:10 AM (GMT)
A flicker of dust had landed on his left shoulder, and he looked at it curiously. Brushing it off softly, he watched it flutter to the ground, and dissappear in his footsteps, as he walked forward, slowly looking up. He saw a women staring at him, mouth wide, and he instinctivly looked behind him to see nothing but a plain wall. Either shes nuts, surprised by there being a wall, or she can see him; best gues... she can see him, he thought as he moved up to her. He placed his hand on her chin, and closed her mouth, "It's not nice to stare," he said in a soft tone, the crowd weaving around them to get where they needed to go.
Aurora Harper - April 19, 2008 10:18 PM (GMT)
(ooc: sorry I’m making your character into such a ghost. She hasn’t “woken up” yet and she’s about to, just preparing you.)
She watched as the flickering figure walked towards her. The feel of his hand on her chin was little more that a brush of air but she felt her mouth close. She barely heard his voice over the roar in her ears. He couldn’t be real, no body could flicker like that…it was impossible. She really, really needed to sit down. Maybe she hit her head, but she couldn’t remember doing so. Rory couldn’t get her feet to move, it was like they were cemented to the ground. “What are you?” she asked, her vision was getting fuzzy and she was starting to get dizzy. The world was spinning around her and the roar in her ears kept getting louder.
Suddenly she flickered, her true form showing for a moment, a female warrior, her brown hair longer and her eyes briefly loosing the scared look. There was a sword on her back and the clothing she wore wasn’t of this time. Then the woman was gone and there stood Rory in her jeans and t-shirt.
Justen fores - April 20, 2008 05:26 PM (GMT)
Justen stood in the shadows of an alley. The hood of his cloak hide his face as always. His wings fidgitted under his cloak. He seemed to not even notice the Santa Cruz heat. The truth was he really didn't. He ha worn his cloak for so long he didn't notice the heat or cold. All he did notice was the scene before. Things were getting interesting. Between a slightly careless guardian and a distressed human the scene took place.
It may have started with a demon, but it continued with the guardian forgetting that some humans could see him. "Then again," He muttered to himself, " it is not a guardians nature to think of all detials." He shrugged and continued to watch. The woman seemed to be a littel frightened by his savior. Then again , by the way she acted, and reacted, she probably wasn't awakened. That would explain the fact her jaw hit the ground.
THne he saw it. A flicker of something. Something was about to happen. He only hoped the guardian was ready. For it seemed he would have an awakened on his hands very soon.
Jason Sharp - April 22, 2008 12:44 AM (GMT)
(to tell you the truth ^^ I have no idea what an Awakened is, XDD, so... surprise me, k? ^^)
Jason looked at the women as she flickered, and he saw the warrior women aroudn her shape; but it wasn't around her, it was her. She then flickered from veiw and returned to the normal women. What was that? he thought, blinking slightly. He took his hand off her chin, thinking that he might have triggered something by touching her. Damnit, why are you being so careless? he thought, clinching his teeth silently, You know better then to do this, what if she didn't see you? No... she had seen me, there was no doubt about it... so what was this? he thought, confused. He kept his attention on the women, curious on what was happening to her, and weather or not he should try and do something; he didn't know if this was a good thing or a bad thing.
(it sucks being new to a stroyline ^^, becasue then your character is too. :( )
Aurora Harper - April 25, 2008 11:57 PM (GMT)
She felt so dizzy and her vision was stating to get fuzzy. She blinked a few times to try and keep back the impending darkness but nothing really seemed to work. It took her a minute to realize that the man in front of her never answered her question. Rory felt her whole body sway a little bit and there was another flicker. The woman stood there, her hair was longer than Aurora'a but her face was calm as she stared at the Guardian. The woman was there longer before the image flickered back to Rory who was stuggling to remain concious. Her face was pale as she said, "I should sit down". She stumbled to the alley she fell against the wall, barely catching herself.
Justen fores - April 26, 2008 12:20 AM (GMT)
She was getting closer. Justen couldn't help but notice the sway of her body. The image flickered again. It lasted longer though. She was awakening and becoming even more unsteady. Justen stepped further back into the shadows. His cloak was wrapped tighter around his body. He wouldn't physically interefer. Not until he was noticed. But he would help ease the awakening. It was his nature after. He activated his aura. Not too much power. Just enough to give her comfort and ease her worry. Just enough to make her relax. There was no telling what might happen but he would try to lessen it.
Jason Sharp - April 26, 2008 05:54 PM (GMT)
Jason looked at her as she fell backward, and he moved up beside her softly. She's already spotted me, theres no since hiding myself, he thought as he rested his hand on her head, "Shhh... mine name is Jason, who are you?" he asked her slowly, trying to keep her distracted on what was happening, "Listen to my voice, and only my voice." His voice had a somwhat melodical tune, like an angle of sorts, he wanted to be comforing, and hopefully his voice was adding to the effect; and not knowing that an aura was there to help as well.
