[Species:] Human - Demon [Cat]
[Description:]
[Demon Form:]
[Personality:]
[Powers:]
Strength and AgilityTory is a very strong and agile person; his powers allows him to push his own strength to its absolute limit while making his movements more graceful. He could easily stop a speeding car or jump the length of a three stories to the ground without much harm. Though there is always a downside to having such abilities.
He may be extremely strong but he still has flesh and bones to worry about. His skin is not as strong as stone and so most hits leave marks and cuts on him or even break his bones. If he misjudges a jump or move he can break his bones.
TransformationBorn to a cat Tory can also take on the form of one. His body will twist and his hair will become black fur along his body while he shrinks to the size of an overly large house cat. The only oddity to this transformation is that his eyes are bright pink, but otherwise quite normal.
While in this form Tory can talk though most times he uses this body to spy on something. If he is harmed in this form he will be unable to transform back to his human body until he has fully healed himself.
BlossomsAs an animal based demon Tory can manipulate flower blossoms; though they must be already bloomed or petals of the flower for Tory to use them. He mainly uses the blossoms to create small shields to protect himself or as distractions while he escapes. Very rarely will he manipulate the blossoms into an actual weapon that he uses to attack with.
The bad part is that the blossoms themselves are very lightweight and if the wind were to turn on them it can send them away from where Tory may need them. They are also very easy to break, even when used as a weapon they can only hold the force to cut something for very rare burst otherwise Tory can become quite weak from overusing his own spirit to make each petal sharp.

[History:] Victoria was born a dark creature in the depths of demon world with no hope of ever being anything other than a monster many feared. With a barriers between the worlds humans were something of a myth to demons who had never heard of them, but to Victoria they were creatures she had every belief were real. Like going to a zoo and seeing a lion for the first time Victoria did everything in her power to try and prove the existence of humans to other demons, but because no one could ever find the true barrier there was no proof to her rantings.
She was out casted for her nonsense and for being an annoyance, she was believed to be a weak and stupid demon who had dreams instead of reality stuck in her eyes. Though they were all wrong about her, for all her trouble making Victoria was a very clever demon and a very determined one. Freed from her group she searched each day for the barrier of the worlds and oddly enough she found it.
Without hesitation she slipped between the gaps that held back the most powerful of demons. Still young her own level of strength was still weak in comparison and so she made the trip between worlds quite easily. When she came across her first human she had every thought of capturing them and bringing them through the barrier and back as her proof, but she didn't. Watching the humans of the time walk about held a strange fascination for Victoria and so she left them alone.
But that fascination soon turned into something else, a hunger. Having survived on the flesh of the living of her world these humans were suddenly easy prey for a lone demon. With the ability to bend her differences into actual body parts Victoria twisted her body into that of a young female human. She used these disguise to con unsuspecting families to take pity on her then she would gorge herself on their families.
Though she would live on she knew that too many killings would mean a disaster to the fact that she was not humans; worst, it could call upon the Spirit realm to take noticed of her escape and she would either be returned to the demon realm or killed straight out. So she paced herself with her feedings while also learning about the humans around her.
The first thing she found out was that she was living during a very odd period in time; Renaissance Era. The time was interesting as well as frightening at times as Victoria found herself trying to mimic the culture around her. With her appearance like that of a young woman she used the clothing and even the money of her feedings to buy herself a small house on the outskirts of town with plans of staying there unnoticed. But the time was too flashy and Victoria was drawn into it all.
She attended plays and even made several friends with the local ladies; it came as a surprise to Victoria that she could respect her food source and worst was that she was slowly finding herself becoming more like them. She did not feed as much as she used too and those she killed were of lower class and people no one would miss.
Though overtime it became clear that Victoria was more than she seemed; she did not age like that of the other girls and she had a grace about her that seemed a bit unnatural. Fearing that her disguise would be found out Victoria took to traveling when her time in one place seemed to long. She kept this up for several decades until she had reach Europe and found herself face to face with a new destiny.
She had been living in a small apartment for only a few months when she met a human that changed her life. James Mason was a goldsmith who made weapons for the knights to the Queen; he was a gentleman that many called friend. Victoria had been drawn to the shine of a glowing sword as it was hammered over a blazing fire; it wasn't a lady's place to enter such a place but Victoria was a curious one and entered uncaring.
She had given James such a fright that he had dropped the hammer on his own foot before he could get his heart out of his throat. Victoria had apologized and tried to held the distressed man but it became apparent that she couldn't stop laughing enough to do anything. It was her laughter that calmed James' swearing [which he had tried not to when a lady was present] and his jumping about. After Victoria could calm her glee she introduced herself to James properly and from that point on it seemed like nothing would ever be the same again.
It did not take the village long to notice that their own Gentle James had an eye on the new lady to the town. Plans seemed to already be in motion for the two to get together with the exception of the two knowing what was before them. And even though she knew it was wrong for her kind to feel such things about their food Victoria enjoyed having James with her. She had planned on keeping him around until she had to move on, but her heart wasn't into teasing such a gentle man.
So she married him; making him the happiest man. She still had plans of staying with him until his life ended; seeing how she was in a way immortal she knew that he would die long before her. Sadden to know that her own heart and soul would die with this man she made a pact that she would die with him. Cursing her own nature she refused to eat another human being and instead would live on the food of humans until her ultimate end from hunger.
It was all planned out or so she thought as shortly after her vow Victoria found out that she was carrying her lover's child. At first she had been confused, she never knew a demon could carry a humans creation. but as the months passed and she became bigger she knew that somehow she was given a miracle.
Though growing a child inside her also weakened her as she had forsaken eating what her body could progress and so when she finally gave birth her child was healthy but she was as weak as a newborn herself. She eventually got strong enough to move on her own and care for her son but she was still getting weak each day she refused to eat.
Victoria knew that she had limited herself years of living on, but she does not regret her choices. She had James to love her and now their son, Tory, to care for. Watching what she had created from love grow was her miracle that she enjoyed each day she opened her eyes, but she knew that one day soon she would have to tell him the truth.
A demon could only give birth to a demon, even with a human for a father her genes would be stronger within her child and he too would be faced with the difficult life of a demon living in a human world. Victoria did not want to scare her son with her knowledge but her time was growing short so when Tory had turned six she took him on a special trip alone.
It broke her heart to see the innocence of her son die with each word she spoke and more so when she revealed to him her true form. Tory would have ran away but Victoria held him to her and allowed both of them to cry. She had torn her heart out with her cruelty and now he would have to live with the fear. 'You must be strong,' her only advice to a young son.
A week after her discussion with her son Victoria succumbed to her weakness and passed away in the arms of her husband. From that day on Tory had only his father and a secret to follow him; though he knew the truth of his blood he also understood that it was something he would never burden his father with.
So he continued to live, going to school and spending time with his father in the bowels of the workshop building one-of-a-kind swords and daggers for local and passing knights to buy. A simple life that included swordplay with friends and games at fairs but nothing that would suggest Tory was anything other than what he was.
Though he knew he was different, could feel it as if it were a disease burning in his bloodstream with each day he grew stronger. Tory was still a little boy when he was able to reach into his soul and touch on his demon abilities. It was very obvious that he was much stronger and faster than most his own age but it was something he tried deeply to hide. He had to watch himself if he pushed too hard or if he moved a bit to quickly, it became a routine that he had to watch everything he did.
He cursed each day he had to fight himself for control knowing that he was damned for being born as he was. Still, he carried on and lived his life like that his mother had wanted for herself, as a human. He took classes until he was well educated to lead his own life though he chose to work with his father in the shop over politics.
When Tory had turn twenty-four his father had passed on and so on the day of his burial Tory vowed to find the barrier his mother had told him about that had brought her to this world and created such a monster like himself. So packing all his belongings Tory left his home in Europe and traveled the world in search of the doorway to demon world.
It took him five years but eventually he found the barrier and feeling that it would be the one place such a being like himself would belong he bravely entered the realm of demons. Though it had been a grave mistake and Tory quickly found himself surrounded in a world of hell.
Death. The entire world was covered in endless death that came at the hands of true monsters who haunted the light. There was never a day to pass that Tory knew he would wake up from where he had hidden himself to escape one beast after another. He had been searching for answers and had only found terror that even he never would have imagined, but he also found answers.
While there were monsters there were also people. An actual city of normal day activities, work and school, was set in the middle of a world of darkness. Tory found himself stuck in the middle of both worlds with so many questions and no one willing to answer them, but his persistence proved to be helpful. Someone took pity on him and sat him down to discuss what the world of demons was about.
Finally he understood why his mother had escaped such a world and now felt the pain of having hated her for it. She had wanted something better and when she found it it had been taken from her because of what she was and so she had hoped her own son could be stronger than her; he understood that now. And so he would, but in his own way.
Tory was as curious as his mother had been and so he continued to stay in the world of demons, learning what he could while also traveling to see what actual worlds made up the realms. He met demons who would become friends and others than would have eaten him had he not been quick on his feet; he met many that would teach him and others than would try and kill him for his knowledge. An endless circle to things that had begun in both worlds.
He learned so much but also knew that staying within the realm was not one of his best ideas. Because he had human blood flowing in his veins he would one day meet someone who was stronger than him that would kill him. So when he felt that he had learned enough about what he was and how he could control it he seek out the barrier again.
Though he was surprised to find out that he had stayed away much longer than he had plans for. It was amazing to learn upon his arrival that he had been living among demons for almost two centuries without a change to his appearance! Clearly he held his mother's bloodline strongly if he could continue to survive even after such long years. Though fitting in was difficult.
Being born to a different era and then finding yourself stuck in the beginning of a new one was confusing for the young man. Though Tory faced it head on, he traveled to hide the fact that he did not belong while buying the latest books to try and catch up. He became fascinated with the new cultures popping up and even found that he had a knack at stock holdings; he made a small success in stocks and used the money to help his travels as well as an advanced education in modern happenings.
So it continued, Tory made his mark with the stock market though with each year that came for a change he became a descendant of himself. He continued his travels and education until recent years when he decided to settle down in Santa Cruz. Here he noticed a strange phenomenon among other demons; a steady flow of demons were coming into the mortal world when years before the sighting of an actual demon was few and far between.
Tory knows that something is coming, he just hasn't figured out just what is. As of late he has taken it upon himself to provide protection to those demons who have found peace among humans while hunting down his own kind that do not belong here. He is no hero, but with his strength and willpower he feels that it is a duty to his mother that he does everything in his power to protect the thing she gave up a life of horror to find peace with.
