WIZARDING WORLD, BRITAIN; 2023.
! FACING REDEMPTION IN THE REAL WORLD.
Since the fall of the Dark Lord Voldemort nearly thirty years ago, the residents of London, England, wizards and muggles alike, are finally at peace with their lives and all that surround them. Of course the wizards are taking precaution where the muggles are concerned, as they have no intention of allowing their peace to be disrupted by the curiosity and nosiness belonging to the muggle population of London. However, they never anticipated the Muggle Prime Minister of England involving himself in the affairs of the Minister of Magic and the entire wizarding community. Unbeknownst to the residents of London, a deal has commenced between these two gentleman - so alike and yet so different in that one was born of wizarding parents while the other knows no such thing as magic. Not just any deal, but the deal; a horrible something that could ruin all of which the wizarding world holds most dear to their hearts.
BLACKMAIL.
Apparently the Muggle Prime Minister has stumbled across the proof of magic, something that could very well put an end to the peaceful reign of a world they could possibly never understand. The Minister refuses to let such a horrid thing come to pass, as he is of a mind to relent to the power such a powerless man holds, but to do so could bring about the end of their world, for the muggle wishes to be named Minister of Magic himself. How can that be when this muggle has no knowledge of the world he was taught never to believe in? Of course he cannot inform the Ministry of what might bring about their destruction, being that he is fearful of their reactions, especially the purebloods of society. They would want to take immediate action against this muggle, perhaps going so far as to use the killing curse against him, and that is something the Minister cannot allow.
TREACHERY.
What the wizarding world is unaware of is the fact that the growing rate of Squibs introduced to the wizard's way of life is doubled practically every other day, more so now than they had ever been before. It is common knowledge among their kind to turn their nose up - and their backs to - those who are foolish enough to call themselves wizards upon inheriting the genes of a muggle. One Squib, unknown to the world as such, has taken it upon himself to show those who would rebuff him that there is nothing wrong with being born as such, that they could be just as powerful, just as important, as the Minister of Magic himself. This particular Squib was dubbed the Muggle Prime Minister in the year 2017, in which he has taken it upon himself to threaten exposure should the Minister refuse him. What are his intentions, you ask? Well, it is fairly simple. He intends to become the Minister of Magic, and to do that, the current Minister will have to be very cooperative.

Unfortunately, the students of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry are not aware of what's going on in the real world - the harsh world which surrounds the castle. Seeing as the Minister is adamant in keeping such horrid information from the press, no one should be the wiser to the Muggle Minister's attempt at a hostile take-over. No, they're going about their business, trying to keep up with decent enough grades to pass the school year. There are some who could care less about that however. But as it were; the students are as oblivious to the going-ons as the adults are. Still; what should happen when the information is finally leaked to the press? Only time may tell.
