It was a quiet October night, much like any other. The streets were lonely, save for two figures that contrasted heavily with the suburban environment. Dark robes billowed almost ethereally, giving the outsiders an eerie look. The taller silhouette belonged to a man, with thining hair and barelu human looking upon a close inspection. His eyes had red tints to them and instead of nosetrils, he had two snake-like slits. The shorter figure belonged to a woman with long hair and a petite complexion. It was hard to believe that grown men cowered in her presence.
"Once I am done with this, nothing is going to stop me from taking over the world." the Dark Lord said, his deep voice calm, but his red eyes were glistening with thirst for power.
"But Master, I believe there is something you didn't contemplate in your plans." The shorter figure said, her voice soft, as she caressed her wand, her gaze fixated in the Potter house.
"What is it, Pandora?" The man turned to stare at the younger woman. Pandora had grown to be his right hand and dare he say it, his heir.
"Me, of course." There was a feral look in the woman's eyes as she pointed her wand at the Dark Lord and muttered the words that would change the history of the Magical World. "Avada Kedavra!" A flash of green light iluminated the street briefly and only one figure was standing when it faded. The Dark Lord was gone.
With Voldemort seeming out of the picture, it was easy for Pandora to take over the Death Eaters. Sure, there were some willing to question, but Pandora's discipline was no different from Voldemort's. She was ruthless, and soon the Wizarding World learned that. The Order of the Phoenix fought bravely, but when the Death Eaters gained control over the Minister of Magic, what happened next was unavoidable. The world was slowly shaped into what Pandora wanted it to be. Tabs on people's ancestry was kept and the wizarding england was no longer a safe place for those who couldn't prove magic ran in the family. Children of bloodtraitors were taken away from their families within the first six months and relocated in pureblood families, to be raised accordingly to the purity of their blood. Not everyone could apply for the same jobs, as blood played an important part.
Albus Dumbledore kept Hogwarts as a haven for magical children all over Britain. Within it's walls there were no disctintions among purebloods, halfbloods or muggleborns. The Ministry wasn't pleased with this but Dumbledore had too much power on his own and Hogwarts had turned into a fortress of sorts. News came of terrible things happening outside, but it seemed the Wizarding School would never be affected by it. That is, until Dumbledore was incarcerated for high treason in 1994. It was then that Hogwarts stopped being the safest place in England.
Students weren't so willing to submit to the new rules, especially those who had been raised in Order families. They organized secretly and chose the name Dumbledore's Army or DA. Although merely teenagers, they gave the Ministry quite the headache, while their parents did the same outside. With Dumbledore gone, it was up to James Potter, Sirius Black and Remus Lupin to step up and lead the resistance against the regime.
Things took an unexpected twist merely a year ago when Voldemort's Dark Mark appeared up in the sky, hovering a family of murdered muggles. Pandora's mark was different, and that could only mean one thing...
